This question is to the seller: where are the cashews grown, china?

The cashews are grown in Cote D'Ivoire, or the Ivory Coast off of West Africa or in very rare cases if supplies are not available, in Vietnam. None are grown in China.

Do they sprout when you soak them? If they do, then they are raw, if not they are probably steamed or treated with a gas.

Yes we sprout them and they do sprout their little tails off!

Totally raw cashews contain urushiol, which is the same chemical that you'd find in poison ivy. Are these steamed or how is this addressed?

Raw refers to the fact that they are not roasted (or salted, oiled, etc). Furthermore, yes, as another customer mentioned, the irritants are found in the shell oil but not the nuts themselves.

Are these cashews free of cross contamination (usually in processing in same machinery) from Wheat?
