On sale currently - Under $10 Review: Great for Cognition Training, Mindfulness, and Keeping Your Mind Sharp (and nice handwriting too)! - This workbook is a great tool, but not only to improve your handwriting -- it's a great way to practice mindfulness and to keep your mind sharp. I'm currently undergoing treatment for chronic pain at an outpatient clinic, and one of things you're taught is to seek out ways to calm down your central nervous system. Mindfulness and meditation really helps, but for most of us it's not always easy to "sit" for extended periods of time. So for some people, mindfulness can be found in doing activities that also improve focus and cognition, such as reading, doing Sudoku, solving puzzles, doing adult legos, etc. I decided it would be fun to teach myself how to write with my left hand (I'm right-handed). I found this workbook on desertcart and have now dedicated 15 minutes per day to practicing a new letter. I put on my studying playlist on Spotify, get out my favorite pen, and then get into a flow state tracing and then writing the letter of the day. As an added bonus, the author encourages you to email her and she'll send you practice sheets. I did just that; and by the way, I wasn't sure whether she'd really reply to my email. I was grateful that she actually did, even adding a personal note of encouragement for my journey. For this personal touch alone, I will absolutely buy or subscribe to whatever product she has to offer next. In summary, this is a wonderful workbook for relaxation, cognition, mindfulness, and bringing you back to that magical time in our lives when we were first learning how to read and write. Plus it's becoming a cool party trick for me to show people that I know that I can write with both hands. And most of all, this workbook is a little something wonderful that was put out in the world by a great human being. Review: Confess, You Need This - After decades of increasing keyboarding and precipitously decreasing actual handwriting, it got to the point where I could barely read my own scribbles. I bought this book, took an hour a day for two weeks, and taught myself how to actually form letters again. The book reintroduces you to the individual Letters of the alphabet and then moves on to words, sentences, quotes and epigrams to first sketch along with and then write out on your own. The book ends by having the student write out Lincoln’s Gettysburg address — a nice touch and something to meditate upon. If, like me, you’ve spent long years ignoring the quality of your handwriting and keep meaning to do something about t, this book will serve you well. Now, on to cursive 😱

Finally a Handwriting Workbook That Actually Works
I’ve tried several handwriting improvement workbooks, but most of them felt random and not very well structured. My handwriting looks like a second grader’s, so I needed something that actually builds skills step by step. This book is the first one that feels cohesive and thoughtfully put together, and it’s been exactly what I needed. I’m actually enjoying practicing and can already see improvement. If your handwriting needs serious help like mine does, this book is absolutely worth it. It’s practical, well-structured, and motivating in a way most handwriting workbooks simply aren’t. Highly recommend.
