Seems like every year, my skin decides to react to something else. This year, it has chosen to react badly to knicker elastic... And any kind of lace trim. I toyed with the idea of making my own cotton shorts, but 95% cotton/lycra is not cheap to buy.Thankfully, Amazon was reading my mind (again), and this listing popped up. I was slightly dubious whether the digitally manipulated pics accurately showed the colours, but I ordered, fully expecting to be disappointed by poor quality, muddy coloured, tiny (Asian sized) shortsBUTI had no reason to be sceptical! These shorts/knickers are amazing! The quality of the fabric is first class (and I have used a LOT of cotton/lycra of all qualities), the colours are just as shown, the fit is spot on (UK 14-16 is described as L and fits perfectly), and, above all, they are blissfully comfortable. They have an oval gusset that means there are no seams in sensitive areas, and what seams they have are all encased. In fact, they are beautifully made.I discovered they are also sold in packs of 4, so after this initial purchase, I have now bought 8 more pairs. They are perfect under summer dresses, especially when playing on the floor with children, as they appear just like cycling shorts.So, thanks Amazon, for reading my thoughts and literally saving my skin!

Similar to many reviews I read whilst I was researching this item,I purchased these to take on holiday to wear under short summer dresses.Delivery was prompt,as expected...next day arrival.These shorts are extremely well made and seem to be true to size. They fit well, are comfortable and price wise exceeded my expectations. I had looked previously at all the major supermarkets and whilst they were readily available,were averaging between £15-20 per pair,so I got these with the view that if they weren't quite what I expected,I could always throw them out following my holiday.They are made from 95% cotton and 5% spandex which means they keep their shape nicely.But they are marketed as underwear and as such, reveal the body shape they cover,so if intended use was as visible shorts then I would personally wear underwear beneath.I am pleased with my purchase, originally ordered neutral colours that would match anything,but plan to splurge on the bright colours next.

Very soft, comfortable and a good fit. I've worn these under trousers, as PJ bottoms in the summer. Good strong stitching, would definately buy again.

I have tried many many different various types of these ‘chub rubs’ and these are by far the best. Firstly, the price is really affordable, secondly, they fit me perfectly, thirdly, the stretch is just right for my legs and fourth, the material is great quality. I wore these yesterday and the day before when the weather was very hot (for the UK) and I was really comfortable in them. They stopped the chafing but didn’t make me feel too hot. They were long enough to look like shorts but short enough to wear under a summer dress that sits just above my knees. Not see through. Will see how long they last and how they wash. But I would really recommend these shorts 😊

They’re comfy and breathable and stay put. I’ve worn my last set so often as they just make everything more comfortable. They stop chub rub in dresses in the summer and can be worn for exercise too. Found them great in the winter on cold days when I needed told wear a dress or skirt and nylons. They wash so well too.

I really like these, the length, colour and comfort is great. I would say that having a cotton like finish means that clothing slightly clings to them. I am not jeen on the elastic waist as it is visible under slim fitting garments. These would be perfect if in microfibre with a grown on waistband and a built in cotton gusset.

These shorts are great. Lovely, bright colours (or neutral if you prefer) fit well, the legs are long not like some shorts I've bought in the past. They stop any rubbing which is what they're supposed to do. Soft material, comfortable to wear.

The sizing was exactly right. The fabric is good quality. They're heavy enough to feel like they will last & wear well, but lightweight enough for the summer heat. My favorite outfit for hottest Texas weather is a sleeveless summer dress with a pair of this type of underwear. No chafing & reliable, modest coverage. It's ideal in this excessive heat. I found the price to be extremely reasonable for the quality one gets. And most importantly: they stay in place. The waistband doesn't randomly fold or slip down, and the legs don't creep up & create an annoying bunch of fabric. Zero wedgies!! I love these & would highly recommend them.

I absolutely love these shorts!! I may even be obsessed with them lol.. I've been buying these since 2019, and seriously cannot imagine life without them now. I REFUSE to imagine life without them! Period.I have them in sizes from 1X-4X. Cause body snatching Planet Menopause finally caught me..🙄 I wear mine for everything from under dresses, skirts, as shorts with a long Tshirt or top, while doing gardening in the yard, sleeping, to even a quick trip into the grocery store with a regular length Tshirt. They are so comfortable I totally forget that I'm wearing them. I have a ton of scar tissue from many different surgeries over the year's all over my body, as well as equally as much internal scarring. All of my different torso scars have become pretty sensitive to outright painful. So shape wear and clothing in general aren't my friends. Not only do these shorts not aggravate my plethora of thick scar tissue and sensitive skin, if anything they act as a protective barrier. WIN!!🥳 The waistband is perfectly comfortable and no rolling down, or up the thighs. They have double stitching on the legs and the seams are super soft.Although the listing photos show the waistband sitting just below the belly button, all of mine sit approximately 4" above my bellybutton. I am high waisted but that shouldn't matter. I gave a friend a brand new pair of my 1Xl ones. She has a completely different shape, height and weight than me. The waistband wasn't anywhere near her bellybutton either. So maybe that is determined by hip width and rump size. Although I have very, very naturally wide hips even when I was a size 0..🤷🏽‍♀️ I prefer them being/fitting above my belly button anyway. The crotch area for these aren't double lined and I'm a major fan. I'd much rather my southern creature have access to fresh air! That said, you can toss on a pair of undies under them. Yes, they'll probably show your underwear lines should you choose to do so but again, these aren't ment to be seen by others. Others cannot tell if you are wearing a secondary pair of undies under them anyway once you are fully dressed. Ohhh isn't being a woman such a joy?!😆 I'd have literally given ANYTHING to have had these shorts for menstrual cycles when I was a teenager, to mentally give me the feeling of having an added layer of security under my clothing, and especially when wearing dresses. Which is why I highly recommend them for the young ladies just starting their journey into womanhood. They battle with being self conscious in general same as most of us did. So naturally when they start having menstrual cycles, they become even more self conscious in the beginning. I cannot recommend the panties enough either for the young gals. Their other undies are extremely comfy and to die for comfort wise as well, while being absolute top notch quality. I cannot recommend those highly enough either! Including having double lining for the crotch area, but not so thick that ones down south area suffocates. I cannot remember ever coming across such high quality panties in my life. Figured it's long past time for me to recommend these privacy shorts to my fellow gals. Once you try/wear these or their awesome selection of other underwear, you'll never go back to any and all other inferior yet still expensive brands.I don't know how many of these I even own, but its alot.
