Q: I'm a size 6 in rgular shoes but according to the size chart i only need a 3.5 adult. What size do I get?

Pay no attention to their sizing chart it's so wrong. Returning is fine but if you need them straight away it's annoying. Go by what your normal shoe size is. My granddaughter is an adult size 5 we ordered size 5 it was fine. They tend to come up a bit small.

Q: Once you’ve measured the feet and chosen the the size that corresponds, with that size, does the shoe allow for growing room?

By shoes like this especially for children growing room doesn't come into it now. You won't know till they try them on. Makes vary in sizing these days.

Q: I take uk adult size 11 shoes. my foot measured as shown in the guide is 11" / 28cm from heel to toe. the chart says this is uk adult size 8.5. why?

Check that you have chosen the right size on the first pass. But the measurement is the actual size of your foot. The shoes want to feel like close fitting gloves, not slopping about. If the shoes you have chosen are leather they will mould to the shape of your foot. If it is any help my drawn measured size was smaller than my actual shoe size and they fitted very snugly.
