Hurricane Candle Holder - Open Ended Glass, Bottomless Cylindrical Glass, 2.5" x 4" (Multiple Specifications)

I just moved and was missing a hurricane glass. I took one off to see the quality of the 2 and this one is thicker and feels more sturdy than the original. There are tons of sizes to choose from. I would definitely recommend!

Had this table centerpiece for years. Didn’t pay much for it but, I love it. Broke the middle sleeve just before Christmas & didn’t get to use it this year because I balked at paying $30 for the replacement- 4x5 is rare. Missed having it on the table so much that I gave in & ordered it. It’s better than the original!!!

The overall dimensions were accurate, and they functioned as they should. The glass walls, however, were thinner than ones we've used in the past, so they 'feel' more fragile. For the price they are ok and worked.

I have had a beautiful candle holder set most of my life. It’s solid brass with a fluted crystal shade unlike any I have ever seen. And that’s where the story gets interesting. The set is on display on my mantle all year with LED tapers but assumes a special role around the holidays when it is dressed with a custom garland and real wax candles. Unfortunately one of the shades was crushed during a recent move. And to circle back to how unique that delicate shade was I have not been able to find anything even similar to replace it. After a lot of searching I found this one. Sure it’s only plain glass, not the hand blown fluted crystal of my original, but it’s the same size and once the garland is draped over it our holiday tradition can continue once again. I can’t say much about the quality, after all it’s only a clear piece of glass, but I can offer my opinion about the price. Mailing a thin glass lamp shade is risky and there must be a lot of them that don’t survive. A lot of effort goes in to protecting these and there is a real cost to that, by the way these are protected very simply in a custom box that had a molded insert shaped to protect the product. I’m not sure what the concern some others may have about all that but mine were delivered the next business day for free, not from China but from the Amazon warehouse a few miles away. I can’t see how that deserves a negative review. Overall I am happy with the product, it is as they say it is. You need to know that the diameter of the flutes is measured to the outside of the glass and it it as exact as it could be. If you are working with a lamp with very tight tolerances please keep this in mind. I recommend this product with the wish that it was about 25% cheaper.

It is what it is but I don’t think I was sent the correct size. I bought it to replace part of a bird feeder, and despite it being a smaller diameter was able to more or less make it work. Not overly delicate.

I broke one expensive P*ttery Barn Hurricane Candle in a set of 2, and was so upset...thinking I could no longer use it, I decided to replace the hurricane glass part with this, and voila! my hurricane candle is like new again, and the glass even matches the other one in the set, so you can't even tell! If you need, or would like to turn any candle into a hurricane candle, I highly recommend this one - it comes in a variety of sizes, and while a bit pricey, the glass is thicker, and of such good quality!
