WW2 Style Military "Hack" Watch.
Quality mechanical hack watch featuring luminous dial and leather "Nato" band. Nod to watches used by military during 20th century. I love it.

A modern classic
I wanted a classic looking field watch and I got one. The watch is really lovely, understated and feels solid. Substantial thickness but as the overall diameter is small, it still feels like a relatively diminutive watch. I love the domed glass which distorts the dial a little at the edges.Winds really well too, smooth mechansim and hack is great. It's not flashy but I did not want flashy. This is a classic styled watch designed by a classic company. Of course, it's no longer Czech or even American, but the spirit lives on in the details. A classic with a modern twist. Not water proof so I tend to treat it with some kindness and consideration. If you want totally rugged, get a Seiko or Casio, worthy tough watches, for less money too! But the DNA will not be the same, nor the history. Finally, having a smaller wrist (6"), I wanted a smaller case that would not overpower and this works well for me. Hamilton and CWC are close competitors but for the price, Bulova got my vote.Quick delivery too and good packaging. Arrived safe and well. The strap is a little weird, Nato-ish type, green leather. Good idea, but overall a little stiff and bulky, so I cut off the extra safety bit as I tend to do with most Nato straps and it sits better. This is not a watch that will turn heads, but it will find a spot in your heart and there, it will grow.

A classic heritage WW2 field watch, Top Quality materials and finish BETTER than a Hamilton
This is a great watch if you are in love with the WW2 theme. The Bulova 'hack' watch was one of the watches that 'won the war'. It's quality made, not absolutely accurate as a quartz as it's an Automatic movement. It looks similar to an A-11 rather than the the Bulova Dirty Dozen but still I love it. (The Dirty Dozen Bulova has a sub dial for seconds hand at 6 o'clock). It's not a huge watch on the wrist. The originals were 31 mm but at 38 mm it's not huge and overbearing. It IS thicker than a quartz version ( I now own both! ) it's about 15mm thick. The crown is slightly oversize like the originals which is something i like.If you like WW2 field watches this one is a much cheaper alternative to the Hamilton Khaki et al. My personal view is that the Bulova is better than the Hamilton Khaki in many respects. Value For Money and at least as much 'cachet'.I got my Bulova Hack for £198. I wear it most days as it's a nice looking ,very accurate and comfortable to wear watch. Bought mine in May 2022.It runs -/+ 5 secs consistently. A great watch from an historic company who were one of the companies who produced the original 'A11' Field watch for the US Government.. highly recommend it. It's quality throughout. the 30m water resistance is a bit low but i'm not likely to go swimming or diving with this watch.. fine for hand washing, seating etc so farUPDATEThe watch seems to get better and better. The leather band supplied is lasting well and gets more comfortable with use. It still keeps accurate time. I like it better even with the red 24 hour chapter ring than the strictly historical correct white ring. But also managed to buy the Quartz version recently for half price at £100.If it had a sapphire crystal glass i'd rate it 11/10.. but it's still pure class for a field watch
