KEYSTONEBallasts 2 Lite F20T12, Class B, NPF, Electronic Ballast model number KTEB-220-1-TP-EMI

Needed to replace ballast for fixtures over my kitchen cabinets that use only a single F20T12 fluorescent bulb. Original ballast Keystone Cat. No. 120TP rated at 0.625 Amp was no longer available. This Keystone KTEB-220-1-TP-EMI appears to be a perfect replacement, although rated at the lower current of 0.55 Amp. Mechanically it fit perfectly over the fixture studs just as the original ballast. Since I was only requiring lighting a single F20T12 bulb per fixture, and this new ballast is rated for 2 such bulbs, I felt that the new ballast should be able to handle the single bulb load. My only complaint could be that the distributor pastes their barcode label on top of the Keystone wiring schematic label. Carefully peel off the barcode sticker and get a magnifying glass to follow the schematic wiring diagram. Ballast is working well and I hope I can get some years of service from it. The original Keystone 120TP lasted 10 years. Other than that, price is right and delivery from Amazon is quick. All of my problems should be this easy to fix.

Used this to replace a tired old ballast. This fit exactly right, was easy to install, and much quieter in operation than the old ballast.

I installed one of these 9 months ago, and with no issues (no more flicker or hum, slight improvement in brightness). Now I've installed an additional two. Installation is pretty simple: red wires on the top and bottom of one bulb, blue wires on the other. White and black to the corresponding feeds.In my case the old wiring had the bulbs jumpered together at one end. I disconnected these and followed the new ballast's wiring diagram.If you cannot access the wire connectors on the back of the tombstones, use the existing leads and attach them to the new ballast's leads with small gray wire nuts for 22 gauge wire (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072BKBZFN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

These are a great idea and worked well in certain locations but kept going on and off in the middle of the night in some slatted-door bedroom closets so we unfortunately had to remove them from there.

Allowed me to convert 2- 24" florescent bulbs to LED bulbs with a minor wiring change by following the diagram on the ballast itself. Converted the wiring from serial to parallel electron flow, I think. Easy to do, if you have basic handyperson skills and wire cutters and a few splice caps (and turn that circuit off in the fuse box). Hopefully, the savings in electrical consumption using LED blubs will pay for the change over time.

Lasted 3.5 years until it caught fire (I was there, I saw it), so I opened it up, and as you see from the photos, it quite literally burned itself up.Original ballast lasted 38 years.Keystone china-made ballast lasted 3.5 years.Unfortunately, there are very few F20T12 ballast options, so I bought another one. If people were ACTUALLY serious almost "the environment", they would not allow such low quality products to be made and sold. The original ballast lasted almost 13X longer. From an environmental standpoint, this throwaway junk is a much bigger societal problem than the stupid policy stuff a lot of these people focus on.
