scissors are amazingly easy to use and to clean. and the other thing (don't know what it's called) works as a slicing guide and........a baked potato perforator. One easy little push and they don't "blow" in the oven nor do they dry out in the microwave like slitting with a knife.Both are very well constructed, and appear to be made with pride and high end materials. A real bargain at ANY PRICE.

I suppose it really depends on who sharpens it when it needs to be, but mine hasnt needed it and im hard on it. Its not the wife's 1st choice due to the metal handles. But she loves the edge and ease of cutting.Best value ive found in a kitchen knife. Its does OK as shears too. Ive owned several other "good" scissors & shears but these are by far the best for the $$. Its about the smith who sharpens it for you. The factory edge is wonderful. Its holding up well in 1yr. Ive ordered 2 more. One for my shop because they clean up so well and easy.

I absolutely love these kitchen sheers. They are worth every penny. They are very heavy duty, made in Germany. Come apart making cleaning easy and one half is a blade. Built in nut cracker/bottle top gripper and a separate bottle opener. They come with a tool that I use to hold an onion for slicing. I love them so much I bought a 2nd pair for a Christmas gift. The box is beautiful for gift giving.

perfect for cutting. especially chicken.

Be careful not to cut yourself, especially when disassembled and in two sharp knives-mode.I cannot recommend these scissors enough.I use Weiss cable scissors, and for the kitchen, these German scissors have a better length, and are like two sharp steak knives.
