Does what it's meant to do

It's great for someone who has limited space / access to park their caravan / trailer. Or has personal mobility / strength issues. I can manover my caravan easily at home on / off my drive. I can not comment on siteing use as I have not tried it on a caravan holiday. I would expect it to work perfectly fine on hard standing or firm ground but suspect it would struggle on soft or wet grassy areas.

I’m keeping this item.... but let me help future purchasers. The unit is strong and moves my trailer which has a total weight of 743kg and a nose weight of 55kg - all well within the stated maximums. The battery lasts a long time between charges. The vertical winder is smooth. However the clamp that you bolt to the trailer chassis is rubbish. Despite the clamp tightening bolt being tightened to a torque of 350Nm sq, the vertical jockey wheel - when under power - deflected in the clamp to about 20° off the vertical in both directions depending on whether you were moving forward or backwards. Since I’d cut the M12 bolts provided for fixing the clamp to the chassis I couldn’t really return the item (the bolts provided were far too long for a typical use!!). It’s fixing into the jockey wheel is not positive despite its locking screw and the vertical extension section is also not very positive. Hope that’s helpful.

Great unit works a treat for moving my overlanding trailer tried only on hard ground. But makes life very easy to move

one needs to buy a 48mm jockey wheel clamp to fit it.Otherwise it works fine on concrete.I have yet to try it on other surfaces due to bad weather.

This mover is designed to be side mounted on the frame where most more modern caravans the jockey wheel is centralised.The large dimensions and lack of height means when you wind up the wheel , it is only a couple of inches from road surface. This will be trouble going over most speedbumps.The quality is not the best either and the lide that goes over the electronic components pops off very easily.Would i recommend ? Definitely not

The item is massive and the wheel doesn't retract far enough to clear the ground when towing. The only exception to this as far as I can see is if you had a very high trailer and towed it with a small truck maybe pickup but your trailer must have very large wheels. Buy with caution is all I would say.
