Fun, interactive and space-efficient
I have a young godson (2 years old) that is at a malleable age, and *loves* this mat. It's clear and colorful, and does a great job expressing the sounds and pictures relative to the letters. I do question the choice for "giraffe" as the "G" word, instead of something with a hard "G" (like goat, for instance), but it still serves the learning purpose. The sounds are clear, and there are several modes you can select for different activities; such as learning numbers and letters, and even plays songs. My favorite part, though, is how efficient it is with space and portability. It's smaller than your average poster, meaning you can easily find space on any wall to hang it, or, if you choose, you can just use it on the floor and roll it back up for proper storage. For the price, I think it's a great buy and my godson certainly agrees.

A few flaws, but overall good for independent play.
This is pretty simple. I wish there was a “find ABC” option that didn’t say the corresponding pictures. One reason because my child usually just looks for the picture and not the letter. But also the F and the Y are incorrect. It says, “where is the F, frog”, but the picture shows a flag. And then it says “Y yogurt”, but the picture shows a Yak. Then when it is doing the numbers it says, “When is the number …”. Instead of “where”. Silly things. If your child likes to play with these types of games independently, I’d say it is definitely worth it for practice.

Great for Toddlers and Preschoolers!
I am an early childhood educator, so when I purchase toys, I look for toys with learning or educational value. I like the mat because it is easy to use and brightly colored. The print is big so kids can easily see all letters. Children can use the mat to check their knowledge on their own. It plays full songs, which is a nice added touch, and the mat keeps kids occupied! The voice is calm and not overwhelmingly loud or exciting. The calmer voice helps kids focus better, and the game offers positive phrases when a wrong answer is selected, encouraging learning rather than focusing on mistakes. I like that the mat has an adjustable volume and that it remembers this setting every time the toy is turned on. I'm not quite sure how long it will last, but for $25, it is a solid purchase for the toddler years. I believe kids need a variety of books, toys, and experiences to learn, and I believe this mat is a great supplement to help parents teach toddlers their first letters.

Great product; but test it first
This product is great for learning the alphabet! It is super cute and easy to use. A word of caution: try every button first. My return window closed two days ago; so, we are stuck with a picture of our flag for "F" and a picture of a yak for "Y"... What is the trouble? The audio says "frog" and "yogurt". Slightly confusing for a little one who is learning objects and animals as well as the alphabet.

Colorful, easy to use, fun learning toy for toddlers
It took me a minute to figure out where the on/off "button" is as it's just a place you touch on the mat, but from there it was smooth sailing. This is a great little way for little ones to learn their ABCs by touching the letter and hearing the voice say the letter and then the word associated with the picture. It also teaches numbers, which are at the bottom, and has the option for quizzes and songs. It's clearly printed, the voice is clear and easy to hear and it's visually appealing, in bright colors with simple, cute images which will engage little ones and help them learn their ABCs and 123s.
