How I arrived at my overall rating: **** (4.25 rounded to 4 stars) Value **** (4 stars) Purchase price: $40.99 Decent price for this mat Quality/Durability ***** (5 stars) Duration of use: 2 years Good construction, durable and definitely handles water (its rubber after all). Ease of Use/Assembly/Install: **** (4 stars) Using this in front of washing machine and garage sink. So far it works great. Only downside is this one seems to slide around a bit. Usefulness/Appearance/Fun Factor: **** (4 stars) Since it's sliding around it can be somewhat of a hazard, so had to get some carpet tape and adhere it so it wouldn't move around. Other than that, the water pools on this for easy cleanup.

Fantastic mat. Love it.

We have a young dog that has already had 2 FHO surgeries, and we needed something practical and easy to clean to keep her from sliding around the house. For home use, these are not pretty. But they seem to be a good quality, they have remained flat, and they work exactly as we hoped they would. I would buy again in a heartbeat to help our fur baby

The mats look nice, have good traction and are reasonably thick.....but....the label on the boxes of the 2 that I bought were unsettling. Never had a warning about exposure to cadmium on a product before.

This rubber mat can be used on either side , 1 side has the ribs ( grooves ) , and the other side is smooth. I use 2 of these for the heavily--traffic in the hallway to the kitchen , to protect the hardwood floors. Twice a week , I just mop them with ordinary soapy water . You need to get strong-adhesive 3-MMM duct tape ( or whatever you can come up with ) to keep the 2 ends stay flat and flushed to the floor. These mats are super excellent for my use , I'm very satisfied with them.
