Very detailed and perfect size for display.
I can see what others said about the tusks. They are really good looking but may be fragile in hard play. I bought this model as a display and it is very detailed and realistic. The tusks, despite the fragility, are really spectacular looking. This mammoth really catches your eye when you see it. The size is also excellent and may be to scale with some of the other models I have purchased from Schleich.

Wooly Mammoth Figure Toy Educational
Realistic molded one piece figure. The kids have another mammoth to play with.

Very good Woolly Mammoth figure
This Woolly Mammoth figure is about 7 3/4" long and about 4 5/8" high, and is bigger than I thought it would be. The detail appears to be better than the bigger Papo version, so I bought the Hiawbon version. The only negative is that has a glossy finish---a matte finish would have made the Woolly Mammoth's hair look more realistic.

ELEPHANT COLLECTORS WILL LOVE IT
A most attractive and realistic miniature of the prehistoric ancestor of the elephant family. The colored surface of the mammoth's body is captivating in its "shaggy woolliness" while the upturned and glistening white tusks offer a striking contrast.
