I purchased this heat mat so I don't need to warm up the entire house all day long for my little herb seedlings. I started seeing seedlings of herbs in 4-5 days. EFFECTIVENESS: Great value for its effective growth support. There were some areas of my germination pods that the matt didn't cover and there is a clear growth pace difference between the areas that did and didn't have the heat mat beneath them. TEMPERATURE: There is no option to adjust the temperature. The temperature worked for the herbs I am growing. I placed the mat on the floor and has been working great. Overall, the heat mat has been helping my herb germination process very well. Be sure to keep the mat dry without water.

Right now during the winter, my kitchen's temperature is about 66-68 degrees. I was attempting to make sourdough starter when I ordered this heating mat. It came tightly rolled which turned out to be a good thing! I simply allowed it to roll around my starter jar & covered the top of the "cylinder" with a cloth to create a very cheap warming "box". My starter loved it and flourished after using it off and on for a few days. I never left it plugged in when I left the house, nor overnight. It worked well. I have now put it away in the box it came in for possible use at a later time. It was quite affordable and did exactly what I needed it to do! I highly recommend it to keep your sourdough starter warm, but not too warm.

Only one side stayed warm. Instructions are easy to follow. I will have to move to another location and try again will update later.

100% germination rate. Steady warmth is released. There is no temp control but if you already know that it’s not a big deal. Ideal for peppers/tom etc.

I ended up buying another one because I have a greenhouse tower. I like to start my seedlings indoors with extra warmth to make it feel like spring weather at least during the cold months. No problems with mine just use it properly!

I've been attempting seed germination without a heat mat. Silly me! Its just not going to work with peppers, as they need alot of constant heat to get going. So I got this seeding heat mat, which I love!!! I was nervous about the temperature, but I've tested it a few times, and it stays right on point, between 75 and 85 degrees. I've been using it for a few days with no issues whatsoever. There's no on/off switch or temperature control, but its not needed. You plug it in to turn it on, then unplug when you are done! Its made of a waterproof plastic covering that is soft and flexible, and seems very durable! Its easy to roll up when not in use. I plan on getting two more for next year since they seem to make such a difference! I believe these are well worth the price! The only negative I see is that the paper instructions advise against using any insulation with this mat, but the mat itself says it's ok to do so. I dislike conflicting information on a product.

I was surprised that this item came from USA. It had USA plug and not useable in UK. I tried using it using a plug converter. Within 30 mins it become hot to touch and not a good thing to do. You really need a voltage converter as USA uses 110 voltage which is different from UK. I returned it.

I planted many seeds a few days ago and then added the matt. I was surprised to see sprouting after just 2 days! I was expecting 7 days minimum for any of them. So my happy seedlings are staying cozy doing their thing. Hoping the investment spares me from future purchasing ready plants from nursery which tally up to an easy $150 per year. I ordered a second matt so I can warm the rest. I just need a greenhouse now to move them to once they are ready to repot. That’s what prevents me from really growing everything. Our cold climate zone 4, does not give us enough time to start seeds outdoors. Adjustment of temperature and on off switch would have been nice. Its not adjustable and keeps a fixed temperature. Thinking I can grow my herbs in winter and keep them alive with these though!

My country domestic voltage 220 volt but I received 120 volt. How can use?

If buying from the UK be aware that this has a US plug and is 110v so can't be used in the UK without a transformer.
