Sumiko: HL-29 Headshell Leads

Noticeable improvement in sound over the old stock leads. I had to crimp them a bit first then slide them on to make sure they fit nice and secure. Other than fitting too loose out of the bag, no problems with installation using jewelers pliers. They're really nice quality, improved the sound on my table big time.

Have mounted dozens of cartridges and headshell leads. The black pre shrunk tubing on these leads is too soft. When I used jewelry needle nose pliars to slide leads onto cartridge pins the PST peeled away damaging lead wiring. Left channel out, replaced original headshell leads and left channel returned. I threw these in the trash.

these are much nicer leads than the factory installed head shell leads but when using pliers or hemostats to install them the outer covering can be damaged quite easily.When trying to install them over a prong it seems that the plastic coating comes off or tears too easy

Be on the look out for generic no-name leads substituted for genuine Sumiko by certain sellers!I ordered genuine Sumiko HL-29 leads. I received generic no-name leads.I am sure the genuine Sumiko leads are outstanding.
