Does this work with making steel cut oats or only quick oats of some kind?

I have been using these containers to cook oatmeal for several months... They will cook regular steel cut oats. It’s not going to be the same as minute or instant oats... I use a heat and stir process... I don’t leave it in more than 90 seconds at a time. I have had boil overs and had to clean a few messes. Microwaves are not all the same and it will take some trial and error. My cook times are different from the microwave at home and the one at work. It also matters somewhat the fruit or nuts or whatever you add to it that day. These cups are super versatile.

Pink and Green are both terrible colors.

Does this bowl handle a double of quick cooking oats?

Not sure what you mean by double, but I think I would prefer the taller model; the 22 oz soup mug.

How many inches is it from the bottom of the inside of the bowl to the top?

3 inches to the top of the bowl, then the top adds maybe 1/2 inch for room to bubble up when heating
