My Go To Compression Socks
I've been wearing these for 5 years, my physical rehab therapist told me about them. I'm now supposed to wear compression socks everyday but most are just way too tight because I have short legs, short feet, and wide calves. With most compressions, if I can get them up at all, they either really hurt right below the knee because elastic cutting into my leg, or they immediately start falling down & I end up constantly pulling on them or wearing them slouched down on my calf for rest of the day. These socks look and feel more like cotton knee socks. I wear the Wide Calf XL . I get them on my feet fine, I have to give a little tug to get them all the way up to my knee. Since they come up to the top of my knee, I fold the top over to right at the bottom of my knee and that is perfect. Even folded over they stay up all day until I take them off.Used to just have them in black & white but now have also added gray & denim. I've got all 4 colors. These aren't fancy but they feel so good on. I've got fancier ones or ones with patterns on them if I need something more dressy, which is seldom, but I can't stay in them all day. The fancy ones have more of a stocking or tights feel too them. These knee-hi's are more cotton and my feet don't get as sweaty. I wear them with sneakers all day but feet stay dry.

Stays up, long wear, cool and comfortable
After trying a few other cheaper socks, I settled on Jobst Active Wear. They proved to be more comfortable than the other socks. However, their winning feature is that they stay up even during vigorous exercise. They are also good at wicking away perspiration and that keeps your legs cool on warm days. I like that the white socks look like athletic socks and that they are available in black for more formal outfits. They stand up to multiple washings and resit wear. I alway use an ankle-length sport sock over the Jobst. I believe this provides some protection from wear-and-tear on the Jobst sock. I also wash them in cold water in a small laundry bag to protect them during their ride through the washer and and then let them air dry (no dryer). After a few washing, some of the stitching on the top band may give way. This can easily be repaired with a few loose stitches using cotton thread.

Jobst Activewear Compression socks the best I've found
Great athletic socks. My oldest pair is at least five years old. Well made, fit well, are relatively easy to put on (they are compression sox). I bought all I could find before they disappeared. Too bad Jobst stopped making them.
