If you are an abstract artist then these rollers could provide an amazing look. These rollers are designed for a thick cementitious surface so as to simulate the look and feel of tree bark. I haven't yet used them for the tree that I want to do but now I am going to try them out as a patterned paint project. Sometimes a tool has many uses. **Q: will these work for drywall texturing?** A: Yes, as long as your mud is about 1/2" in thickness. I have used other texture rollers to create some awesome stone and wood finishes using Dura bond 45 or 90. If you add fine sand, you can achieve the needed thickness without cracking...similar to using masonry mud. The thing about these rollers is that they are meant to simulate bark, so you will need for your mud to be thick.
