an excellent look into the workings of the adeptus mechanicus. Fleshes out, so to speak, the mysterious depths of the 'cog lovers' and just how fractious and divided the seemingly smooth and harmonious machinery of the cult of the machine God. The adeptus mechanicus are very much driven by individual ambition, greed, ego and other human failings. Really makes it possible to play a member of this mysterious, secular and close lipped organization.

Lurking in the background of the Warhammer 40k Universe from the very beginning have been the Adeptus Mechanicus the tech priests of Mars. Covered in ragged robes with strange cybernetic limbs poking out they maintain the technology that keeps the Imperium running, technology so advanced even they do not fully understand it.With this book the Tech Priests take center stage with new career paths, new plot lines, new worlds to explore and of course new heresies to purge.Among the options we find tech assassins, warriors and psykers with the power to destroy technology.As always the art is fantastic, the fluff is intriguing and there's a lot of imagination on display.There really aren't any great insights into the Mechanicus as a whole, but there is a lot of detail on the specific factions of the Lathe Worlds.It's a fun read and a must-buy for anyone interested in this aspect of 40k.

If you like role playing Tech-Priest, in Dark Heresy ( or Explorator in Rogue Trader), then this manual is for you. If you are playing another career, then you will still find some alternate paths that will bring you closer to the Machine God.

Fantastic expansion to Dark Heresy, but also just full of general information on the Adeptus Mechanicus, so I'd recommend it for anyone who's a fan of the faction.

what you would excpect from Fantasy flight. the material is good for GMs and player as well alot fluff and some new goodies ;)

+ Lathe Worlds has copious amounts of Mechanicum and sector history. Information about the various sects and tech heresies should be quite beneficial to most GMs. The player creation and advancement add-ons are nice as well.-Was hoping for more paths and advancement information to offer to players.

Not necessary but useful. A good addition to your game library. I am the kind of person that just cannot get enough lore and information on the WH40k universe.

I run rogue trader but bought this for extra background on mechanus and haven't regretted it. The short scenario could be reworked for rouge trader easily. It's also sparked interest in possible dark heresy game in future

Une fois la dernière page tournée, plus jamais vous ne les regarderez de la même manière.The lathe worlds est une réussite tant au niveau quantitatif que qualitatif. Nous avons droit à un historique détaillé de l'ordre, une solide tranche de background, des carrières, du matériel, des mondes dont chacun peut donner lieu à de nombreux scénarios et pour finir un bon scénario. Bref, on en a pour son argent. Préparez vous à une longue lecture et surtout attendez vous à sortir souvent le livre de son étagère. En effet, cette extension est utile (même si vos joueurs ne sont pas tous des technoprètres). N'importe quel MJ trouvera à l'utiliser dans sa campagne. 1Seule ombre au tableau, comme la plupart de la gamme il n'est pas traduit.

Typical FFG high quality production with excellent artwork. I bought this to use in a RT campaign rather than DH and it works fine. Only surprise was that there wasn't more tech gear included
