There are no shortage of options on Amazon and we took our time going through all of them to make a very careful decision. This was absolutely our favorite option and, in our opinion, the best choice based on both price, quality, and the apparent quality of the build materials (aka durability, long-lasting-ness). Basically, this is everything we wanted and at a completely fair price. The range of weight options they provide is great and higher than many other listings. Also, it was the perfect balance of aesthetic appeal and seeming sturdiness (although sturdiness was obviously the higher priority). The hexagonal shapes make it so they don't roll when on the ground. The fact that it can be either dumbbells or a bar is amazing. And the heavy, deep grooves are the main thing to help assure you that it won't fall off and is safe to use. The only weird thing I could say to give anyone a heads-up is that there are tiny 'grub' screws (I think they're called??) that you have to tighten with an Allen key (provided with set, of course) and some might find that uncomfortable or strange. Because you have to use the little 'L-shaped' tool every time to re-tighten the little tiny screw into the big twisty-tightening ring thing. However, this is completely normal, not their fault or bad design, it's simply the trade-off that YOU must pay for because you want something that can do all kinds of wacky stuff all at once, interchangeably. I've actually seen other little screw things that you can do with your hands, but the allen key set thing is not enough to deduct a star. I suppose I could buy those hand-tighten-able things myself elsewhere if I really wanted to. All in all, pretty amazing. Feel like we've made a solid investment for years to come. Great work on this weight set, guys.

Something that's always a welcome surprise is when a package arriving early, which I can happily say is what happened with this product. Great first impression before I even opened the box. Was packet safely and securely, no damage was done to packaging or product. Weights are easily assembled and disassembled, as well as the barbell extension. Aside from a small ear piercing screech from one side of the barbell when I twist the dumbbell handle on, it's a smooth process to transition between the two modes. Every aspect of the product is sturdy and secure during use, exactly what's expected from a reliable set of weights. I'm very pleased with the product and would definitely recommend these weights to anybody looking for a set worth their price.

I've only had them for about a week, but so far no problems. The metal bars seem sturdy, and the metal lock rings get very tight even without the provided set screws. Pros: -Incredible versatility, especially if doing one arm workouts. This opens up a lot of options for new exercises for me. -Easy enough to assemble even with the long threaded rods, only takes about 30 seconds to switch weights. -Can't see any defects so far, the plastic on the plates themselves is a little dented but that doesn't bother me. Cons: -The weights are quite large, you can see in my picture one barbell next to a normal iron cast dumbbell. They could use a more dense material to fill the weights to make a smaller profile I think. Overall, a great purchase for the price if you're in need of lighter and heavier weights for an amalgam of different workouts. It's been a great addition to my routine!

I searched for many hours to find a reasonably priced weight set. This one had solid metal bars and nuts. Do not buy the plastic ones. They are dangerous. This one feels sturdy and the weights don't shift when tightened. It is an excellent set for amateur weight lifting. The bar is fairly standard and fits other weights for when I need to increase the total weights. I love being able to turn two dumbells into one barbell so easily. Very pleased with my purchase. I recommend for anyone who wants to get into lifting. The versatility is awesome.

This weight set is fairly easy to assemble and versatile. Some areas for improvement: -The bar length in the middle should be increased. Currently, the length is fairly short and makes resting the bar on your shoulders a bit awkward if you have all the weights added on. -One of my weight discs came slightly dented on a corner. However, the plastic seems to be holding up strong but I could foresee it becoming more dented. Do not drop these weights; do a controlled drop to the ground. -Adding on and removing the discs is an ordeal because you have to use an allen wrench to take them off. A quicker design with perhaps clamps would be better and faster. Given the pandemic and gym closures, this is still a good purchase for its price point.

I thought they were easy to assemble, until I set it up to use as a barbell. Now I only have 1 free weight. Because the other one is stuck the the bar attachment. Maybe it's something I did, but until I can get it unstuck. It is an inconvenience.

I got these weights because I wanted to start using weights in my apartment-based workouts. I ended up getting these weights because of the price and because of the wide range of possible weights that the dumbbells can be set to. I was honestly a little skeptical at first because of how much cheaper these weights were compared to other brands, but I was incredibly happy once I received the weights!! They came in around a week earlier than the estimated shipping date and I could not be happier with the quality. The plates feel very secure when I have them on the dumbbells. My only complaint is that the holes on the plates are a little smaller than most "standard" plates, so it feels a little bit awkward to hold the plates by themselves if you wanted to do certain workouts like shoulder flys. However, this is a very minor complaint. Otherwise, I am very happy with the quality of these weights and I can see myself using them regularly for years to come!

This product seems good quality. The bar parts are stainless steel, with the handles covered in plastic for easy grip. The weight plates stay secure with the screws that come with it. It was pricy, but seems durable. I like being able to work out at home while locked down. Here is what I didn't know or didn't really think about before ordering the set. These were bigger than I had imagined. Each dumbbell bar is long - measures 18 inches. The grip part is 5 inches, and each end extends about 6.5 inches to allow three 1.5-inch thick plates to be loaded at once. This is much longer than any dumbbells I have used in similar weight ranges. For now, I am using only one or two plates, with long ends sticking out. This sometimes limits certain movement, and you will have to watch out not to wack your face or stomach with it. But overall I am happy with the quality, and I enjoy using the set.
