Langenscheidt is certainly a leader in the German Language space, and this large dictionary, is very helpful if your advanced or intermediate in your German Skills. It has around 120,000 words and highlights the most frequent 5,000 words. If you want words explained and defined in the German language to improve your vocabulary this is an amazing asset. However, it falls short in one very important aspect, and that is not having the plural form for every word??!! It honestly seems hit or miss if there is the plural, although it is included with all the most frequently used words, but for some of us, knowing the plural for more obscure words is vital . Some of them are compound words, so you could look up the root word and possibly find the plural, or use an online dictionary. It creates an unnecessary step, when they could've easily published the plural with all the words.Otherwise it is still a great reference book and a very helpful resource.

This was recommended to me by someone who has lived in Germany for many years but was not a native speaker of German. He said that it had transformed his understanding and use of the language! I am convinced that it will help me significantly too. I love that it doesn't have any English in it! This might be a problem for someone who is a beginner but for an advanced beginner / intermediate learner it's really good. Fun too - if you don't understand the explanation of one word you can follow through by looking up words in the explanation until you have the 'jist' of the meaning! Once I have learned a new word or words I then add them to my flashcards and practice them until they become well-known! An excellent resource!

Die Qualität des Buchdeckels ist bedauerlich, insbesondere für ein Referenzbuch, das man oft verwendet...Das Wörterbuch gibt nicht an, wenn ein Verb transitiv oder intransitiv ist. Direkt nach einem Verb steht nur die Bezeichnung VERB, etwas total redundant, da danach die Form des Präteritums und die Form des Perfekts folgen...Und das Higlight sind die lächerliche, schreckliche und nutzlosse Bilder dabei... Wenn ich mich entscheide, ein Wörterbuch von 120.000 Wörter zu kaufen, glaube ich, dass es selbverdtändlich ist, dass ich schon weiß, was eine Käse oder ein Karton ist....Die zweite Stern ist wegen der 120.000 Wörter

Dizionario eccellente per chi non è madrelingua. Alcuni lemmi hanno immagini che ne facilitano la comprensione. Le descrizioni sono in un linguaggio abbastanza semplice e poco contorto.In confronto al Duden, il Langenscheidt è molto più elementare, ma ritengo che questo sia un punto a favore perché risulta molto più utile e comprensibile se si vuole migliorare il proprio livello linguistico e non si è madrelingua.Io l'ho comprato per un esame universitario e lo trovo molto utile e semplice da consultare (sono livello B2).Assolutamente consigliato per chi ne ha bisogno per esami universitari, per scuola o semplicemente per imparare il tedesco.Sconsigliato per chi ha un alto livello di tedesco e vuole un dizionario "classico".

Das Cover des Buches ist sehr dünn und von schlechter Qualität.Und ich hoffe, dass auch die Verben, Namen und Präpositionen für jede Kategorie in einer anderen Farbe eingefärbt werden.Weil Farben leichter zu merken sind.Der Preis, die Erklärung und die Beispiele sind super.

Es ist nicht zu empfehlen.Da steht (mit online Wörterbuch).Aber da gibt's keinen Code.Also umsonst gekauft
