If you are in the market for a good quality 10", 8 Ohms subwoofer at a reasonable price, this is your guy.For the money, when it comes to clarity of sound, in my opinion, it is second to none.I had looked at another less expensive item but decided on this one. No regrets.I don't get buch bass out of it but, then again, I use it as an slave of another speakers and needless to say it does its job flawless.Thank you.

Thankfully the specs are wrong on these. I needed 10.2 maximum diameter and 4. something deep. I ordered them because I went to Pyle's website and checked the manual. The manual notes all measurements accurately. They are not 10.5 as amazon lists. They are 10. dead on and 4. something deep. They fit in the old school boxes perfectly and sound great. Well worth the 20 bucks each and combined with free shipping...NICE! Way to round up a measurement Amazon! They should add "About" or "Around" to measurement specs. Haha!

I would recommend these speakers to someone who is looking for a great speaker for a great price. Even at a high volume these speakers did not distort. The only complaint is with the range of freq's that they can reproduce, I would've liked to see a little more bottom end but like I said, for the price you can't beat them. When I first opened the box and read the spec sheet I had doughts, there were a lot of grammatical errors and misspellings. I thought the speakers were going to be poorly built because of this but they did surprise me.

First class speaker -- works great, great value. Replaced a woofer gone bad in one of my band's Phonic sound system speaker enclosure for 1/4 the cost of replacing the entire closure system. Specs are much better also. Plan to upgrade the other enclosure before it fails. Definitely a good value. Very pleased.

Poor sound quality

I got this to put in a Line 6 Guitar amp. The amp is a digital modeling with several amp models so I thought a good speaker with a flat response would work well, and it does. The only downside is that this speaker is not very sensitive (see the 89.2dB 1W @ 1M spec) so the overall volume of the amp is lower than I had hoped. A guitar speaker with a 94-96dB sensitivity is about twice as loud. This is good if you are looking to cut down volume or have a higher powered system that you need a less efficient speaker for. The sound is clear, clean, and tight. I just chose the wrong speaker for my application. A 50W system where you are expecting some breakup is a little dry with this speaker.

sick, sick beats. These are cheap and big. I'm assuming those in the market are either wearing greek letters on their chest or hiding in their basement or garage from their wife. I don't care who you are, if you like quality music that gets really loud, and you don't care about having huge box speakers sitting around, you've found your 10" drivers. Plus they're dirt cheap. I've garage sale shopped a nice set of old infinity speakers that were blown for $5, kept the crossover and the wiring, replaced the drivers with these puppies, and POOF! I had some killer sounding speakers.

Pyle is a well established speaker company. These came boxed in boxes, construction is very solid, looks nice, 4 holes to mount, perhaps more in metal frame not showing and sound good. Nice magnet weight for the price. I have had several speakers from Pyle and like them all. Be sure to match your speaker impedance in ohms and as many other specs as you understand for your application or enclosure.
