Best trap you can buy.
These traps are the ones to use. Bait with peanut butter and they work very very good! The teeth on these traps will catch and hold a mouse even if they are just walking by and trip it. The caught mouse cannot pull itself out of the trap due to the teeth on the jaws of the trap. Smooth bar traps they can pull them selves free sometimes. Tip: There's two small holes in the base plate on these traps to add a small piece of wire to secure trap to a small nail. If mouse is caught by one leg it cannot take trap with it, and you will not loose the mouse. Believe me, these traps are the best if you are serious about catching mice. Easy to bait, easy to clean, easy to set and they work!

No miss, Instant kill - someone finally succeeded in building a better mousetrap!!!
PROS - No miss, instant kill, EXTREMELY easy to set and empty, reusable, STRONG spring compared to other similar traps, and a hair trigger so you don't have mice dancing on your trigger while eating your bait (watch the video reviews on other traps - hilarious!). You don't have to worry about the hair trigger since your hands never have to touch that end of the trap - especially if you use a popsicle stick or knife to bait.CONS - More expensive than the 4/$1 wooden traps at the dollar store (of course, those don't work and are gross to reuse, so that's just $1 wasted and 4 mice fed).As I contemplated writing my review for this product this morning, I was a bit disappointed. Not in the performance of the trap, but in the fact that I spent so long trying other traps, FEEDING the mice from other traps, researching the best trap - hands down the JAWZ, and then waiting the 2 or 3 days for the arrival of said traps via UPS (insert sound of angels singing here) - only to have the FOUR mice killed within 24 hours and nothing more. My traps have been sitting empty for 3 days still loaded with the initial peanut butter bait, just waiting for some unsuspecting rodent to happen upon his last meal (although they don't actually get to EAT that last meal). Were there only FOUR? Had I put in all this effort for FOUR tiny vermin? Then I heard it. SNAP!!! I jumped up from my desk in my basement office and looked at the trap. Sure enough - Mouse #5. No movement. No breathing. Unblinking, beady black eyes. I tapped the trap with my toe. Nothing. This is how I can attest to the INSTANT kill. It even got him across the midsection, but he was most assuredly dead. Interesting that this should happen just now. It was like he was sent just to inspire me to finally write this glowing review.I picked up the trap on the NON "business" end and squeezed and released Mouse #5 into a plastic bag for disposal. My original bait was still intact through 3 kills. I squeezed the trap harder to reset and placed it back into position should Mouse #5 have any friends or family looking for a meal in my home.I LOVE THESE TRAPS!!!***Before I get too many blasts, I am an animal lover. I even had hamsters and guinea pigs and rabbits as pets. However, I don't like wild rodents in my home because they carry disease, fleas, and ticks. They are free to live in the acres and acres of farmland surrounding us, but NOT in my home.

These things are great- easy to empty, effective, last forever. You never have to touch the mouse when emptying the trap. It never misses, is easy to set and doesn't snap when you set it in place.

Interesting trap
With any different design there are pros and cons to this trapPROS:1. Easy to load with a good sized bait compartment2. Easy and safe to set3. Easy to open and dump the mouse without touching anything associated with the mouse.CONS"1. Not sure if this looks intimidating to mice my bale traps set in same area attract more mice. But not significantly.2. The trap release lever is just a wee bit large and some mice ( a few) set off the trap before they are fully in thus catching them by the leg.Overall a pretty efficient trap, easy, safe to set and use and I really like the bait well.UPDATE- after using these for a year several things emerge. 1, it is very important to get the bait only in the well and not on the platform around the well. If bait is spread on the platform mice will be drawn to that and set it off before they are fully in the trap. This results in leg captures and escapes. 2. If placed in out structure larger rodents like rats and squirrels will set these off and escape. 3. The trap is plastic and in very cold weather sometimes may trip and yes rodents not killed can chew the trap but I have never had any ruin the trap. But regular snap traps have faults as well so these are no less that standard snap traps. Most important for me is getting the bait only in the well part of the trap.
