I bought these puzzles for my toddler grandchildren. The wooden puzzles are very well made and durable. The children love them. The knobs are chunky and perfect for little hands! I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase.

The thick wooden puzzle came shrink wrapped and in perfect condition. My 1 year old grandson loves it! It is such a great learning puzzle because it teaches through a picture of the shapes.I almost didn't buy it because of the negative reviews on Amazon and decided to call Melissa and Doug company to find out if their superior quality had changed over time. The company informed me that the pictures on the puzzle piece are not painted; it's a picture with a high quality laminate on top. I decided to take a chance, and I am so happy I did. It is good to know from other reviewers that the puzzle pieces do not hold up to a long time in the mouth. (In my opinion, puzzle pieces shouldn't be used as a chew type of toy anyway.) My grandson prefers to put the knob in his mouth and it is reassuring to know that the knob is screwed not glued, so I don't have to worry about the knob coming off. My grandson did put the actual piece in his mouth for a few seconds and it did not fall apart. Since the puzzle piece is not a solid wood piece, I imagine if left in the mouth for a long time it could warp. At this age, I'm planning to use the puzzle with supervision anyway, so there won't be a chance for my grandson to use it as a chewing type toy. I highly recommend this puzzle. I also bought a Melissa and Doug transportation puzzle that I am going to save for when he is a little older.

Made well. Handles are sturdy and a good size for little hands to manipulate . An excellent first puzzle for toddlers.

It's more bigger than I thought, which I like it for my 14 months son. Nice color. The flaw is it arrived with two cracks.

Got it for my two year old and he loves it. Plays with it all the time. I live how it’s design for little hands.

My son is really into zoo animals right now, so this puzzle is perfect! He enjoys it and it’s relatively easy for toddlers.
