Hassan Chop!
A great looking knife with premium performance. The finish on the blade and handle is excellent. It came nicely sharp and after a quick wash, I put it to use. The wide blade made ease of use as a bench scraper to move the onions from the chopping block to the pot. Cleaving the chicken was a sinch since the weight of the blade was just enough to cleave. The knife is not oversize, like many cleavers are. The overall performance is excellent, and it is impressive in appearance. I prefer the high carbon steel used due to its edge durability. Maintenance is no problem for those that take cooking as an art. Not only a great addition to the essential knife assortment but can be considered as a go-to knife for multi-purpose. Very, very pleased with this product.

Great butcher knife, reasonable price.
A lot nicer than I expected at this price point. Feels comfortable in the hand after using for awhile. No sharp corners or edged on the handle.. The blade came sharp, however I sharpened the knife to a razor sharp edge and after cutting up a ribeye the edge was still sharp. It has a good weight to it, a little forward heavy, which is exactly what I wanted. Would recommend to a friend.

Wicked sharp, be sure to oil every use.
Great knife out the box, make sure to clean off oil first. Wash, then coat with thin layer of food safe oil (canola, sunflower, whatever you got). Its wicked sharp out the box, too. Sliced the meaty meat of my palm at the base of my index finger accidently when wiping it down, barely felt it, very nice edge. Looks awesome and feels good in the hand, will bring on camping trips and update this after I do.

Solid, Budget Friendly Winner
Pros: Great value for the money...feels well made...is truly high carbon steel (I advise to look up how to care for high carbon steel knives)...came pretty darn sharp for out of the box...seems to hold edge well, Iv done some light bone chopping and no chips, rolls, or blemishes on the blade. Cons: a bit front heavy but very manageable...the handle could be a bit longer to balance the knife out as a whole...will rust if not properly take. Care of (high carbon steel)...the Damascus pattern looks to be etched (no one will ever sell a real Damascus blade for this price, sorry not sorry) Overall, if you are in the market for a sturdy blade for the kitchen or bushcraft that falls into budget friendly this will serve nicely. Although if used for bushcrafting you will need to invest in a sheath of some sorts.

Stop thinking about it and hit the checkout button already!!!
For $30, I was beyond impressed when I received this knife. The blade is fairly thick for a kitchen knife, but I can see it being used with regularity in the kitchen of a restaurant. It’s very sharp and definitely not low grade steel, so it could keep its cutting edge for a while without sharpening. The genuine wood handle makes gripping this beast easy. The weight combined with the blades edge makes dicing so easy. I love this knife and it has replaced my cheaper Santoku blade chef’s knife and my previously favorite carving knife without even a thought. This is worth well more than $30 so if you’re considering this, don’t. BUY. THIS. KNIFE. NOW!!!

Great knife. Requires maintenance. Very sharp!
Great knife. The handle did not have much of a finish (as pictured). I did a handle soak of 50/50 mineral spirits and boiled linseed oil mixture for a couple days. I liked the way it turned out, but it wasn't necessary. The wood is highly rot resistant. You will need to use a drop of food grade mineral oil after each cleaning. It has and keeps a very sharp edge!

Great buy.
Love this knife. Does need to be rinsed with vinegar to get the black forging residue off before use. And it is a must to dry well but weight, comfort, and amazing sharpness is all just right.

The handle has sharp edges which I will rework with a sander and polishing compounds. The materials appear to be very good overall and it will be a really nice knife after I finish. Still great value for $ spent. Update 1 week later: After spending several enjoyable hours fine tuning this knife I have some additional comments 1) The materials are excellent, the rivets are real bronze, the wood is a lovely smelling tropical hardwood that takes a Lemon Oil finish well, the steel for the Blade is extremly hard, and sharps to a razor edge.
