From our text exchange she took the time to walk me through the process of establishing a passcode, and explain various options. Helen took the time to demonstrate each function by creating a short video of her walking through it on her own smartphone and then sending it to me through WhatsApp. The printed instructions are very good but the short videos with live demonstration were extremely helpful. I have now successfully incorporated the gateway so they customer can monitor each entry remotely. Also programmed five e-cards for the staff each under their respective names. The app is well designed and easy to follow. And the Smart Lock confirms each successful addition with voice response. I am thoroughly impressed with the product design and it's many features to the point that I will install a complete Y1 system in my own house so I can be more proficient on it with future clients. I am most impressed with the timely, courteous, and extensive customer support I have received from Helen overseas. To me, timely customer tactical support is most important with product quality, design, and cost a close second. I will highly recommend this product line to all my current and future clients. The fingerprint works, and my kids come in the front door every single day using the combo. You can setup multiple combos. Do I think this is the best lack you can get on the market, probably not. But is it efficient for the price, yes. And the locking function seems to work every time. I do agree with some of the other reviews that the connectivity, you have to be close to the lack to get it to do things, but to me I donโ€™t really use that feature often. Initial month it worked fine however shortly after it shatter to malfunction. When locking the door while leaving it will give error signals but will still lock. Then it started locking me and kids in the house. Sometimes I can manually force the lock to open by turning it hard. But when that doesnโ€™t work, we are locked in so I have to use the app to get it to unlock. My daughter doesnโ€™t have the app and has had to leave out the side door of our home for school because the front wouldnโ€™t unlock and she couldnโ€™t miss her bus. Everyday now the lock malfunctions.
