Finally a great D-pad for Xbox!
Hadn't spotted anyone mentioning the d-pad on these controllers so I thought I'd drop in a quick review.I play a lot of fighting games - normally on PC where I've got a cheap/adequate fighting stick and on PS4 with a Hori Fighting Commander. I've recently picked up a few fighting games on Xbox but have been struggling with my original Xbox One pads due to their rapid wear-and-tear of the d-pads (not registering presses, double-pressing etc). I've also got an Xbox Series S and the pad for that is much better but I'm not a fan of the recessed d-pad. I wanted something to play the occasional fighting game on the Xbox that wasn't going to break the bank.So far - the PowerA has been the answer! I'm really surprised at how accurate this d-pad is: very easy to finish on a diagonal, light to press but without registering any unwanted jumps etc. I've never been much of a KoF player but on KoF 15 I'm pulling off those supers with ease (you know, the nasty quarter circle back, half circle forward). PC compatibility is fine too (Xinput). The d-pad appears to use a rubber membrane (similar to the 360 controllers) rather than those nasty dome-switches on the official Xbox One controllers.Everything else? Great! Sticks feel just like a regular Xbox One controller - movement feels 1-1 with them (not like some third party controllers where the dead zone feels off for example). The triggers do feel a little lighter - like the springs aren't quick as heavy duty - but nothing too offputting. The paddle buttons on the back work well. Just to clarify - these are for mapping a button press - they are not for recording macros. Still pretty useful - for example, you could map L3 to one of them to quickly run in a FPS instead of clicking in the left stick etc.Time will tell what the durability of this controller will be but so far so good. The only minor downside I can see is that the cable is USB-A to micro-USB. USB-C would have been nice (no more trying to plug it in the wrong way!) however I'm not really likely to unplug it from the controller end and the fit is snug. And this is just me being greedy, but it would have been fantastic if they could have had this switchable to work on other consoles!Excellent value for money - would definitely recommend./Andy

Great value for money!
I was looking for a cheaper alternative for an Xbox controller to play Elden Ring and this really did the job! It connected to my PC with no issues or no further programmes needing to be installed. The response time was really good all while looking cute. Overall, great value for money and does exactly what I need it to!!

Left bumper broke after 6 weeks
Don't buy - left bumper stopped working after 6 weeks and it's now useless for the game I play. Plastic lever inside that nudges a little switch had snapped. I'm not a heavy gamer, 1-2 hours a night, but this is the fastest controller breakdown I've ever had. It's not a high end controller but I expect a certain amount of longevity! Annoyed and disappointed.Update: contacted PowerA and they were very good about it, sent me a replacement that arrived within a few days. Their contact email is [email protected], I couldn't find it on Amazon but it was on their website.

Perfect!
Love love love this controller! Doesn't break the bank and I'm at the point now where I don't care about wireless. Wired is so much easier, no batteries or constant charging, plus the wire is actually huge so you don't need to be super close to what it's plugged into. I've had no issues and love the fact of the buttons on the back. Being pink and a very nice pastel pink is a bonus! If it ever broke I'd buy this one again.

Don’t buy
My first one I bought the left joystick had a tiny stick drift but I wasn’t to bothered but then after a month it was unusable so I just thought it was a one off faulty controller so I bought a second one and again after a month the right joystick was unusable it won’t work when I press it down and the stick drift is not usable so don’t get this controller wasted about 60 quid what a joke

Great controller unless using a wired headset.
TL:DR - at bottomI have had 2 of these controllers and both times I have had issues with the headphone jacks on them. The first time I had great sound but the Jack packed up after about 5-6 months resulting in the controller not transmitting my headset mic audio. The second time the opposite happened, the jack packed up again after about 3 months this time!! It left me with a working microphone but no sound through the headphones. I was especially careful the second time purchasing to make sure it wasn’t due to damage I caused as I’m not made of money and it died faster!!!I would highly recommend this controller to anyone that just wants a cheap durable controller, especially since it has 2 external back paddles to program, however I would warn you that the headphone Jack seems to be of lower quality than the rest of the design so use with a wireless headset or without.TL:DR - had 2 and both had headphone port issues after around 3-6 months. Perfect function otherwise.

Don't know much about controllers but it worked.
Worked fine when I was using it, no longer using this specific controller but it still works, it felt fine, didn't have anything else to compare it from other than a cheap switch controller from a different brand but it was nice and the back buttons worked, no complaints.

This one has the removable Micro USB Cable
This one has the removable Micro USB Cable, which is far superior to the ones with the fixed cable which are only a couple of quid cheaper, but I promise that you will regret buying, as the cable WILL break at the point it connects to the pad. But as long as you get this version, with the plenty long enough, removable Micro USB cable, you will have no problems. The control pad itself is sturdy, of far better quality material than most others of similar price, and works equally as well as a £50+ Microsoft/Xbox pad. I really am surprised to find myself so complementary about a product that is a so called "unofficial" version. I'm not one of those bollix reviewers that gets free items or paid for good reviews. I'm just an ordinary bloke giving an honest good review for an item that exceeded my expectations.
