Yes this will allow you to control the cameras from the RM-BE 300 joystick controller, as well as daisy chain multiple cameras in the same control line

Sort of. There isn't enough information here to fully answer because VISCA is the protocol sent over a 8 pin mini-DIN to Ethernet Cat cable. All this does is allow you to convert 8-Pin Mini-DIN to Ethernet... and then back to 8-Pin Mini-DIN on the other side. But if your controller is using RS232 protocol (or the Telycam is)... then you're going to need to match protocols. I only say this because I couldn't find a Telycam using VISCA... nor could I find a Ventech Controller using 8-Pin Mini-Din (the ventech's I found use phoenix connectors). Best of luck!

I just ohm'ed this out and they are only the pins used for RS232 and not the pins used for RS485 which is sad since it could have been a universal cable with all 8 pins mapped through. I don't know why pin 6 is being used and not 8 as these are the A+ and A- RS485 signals. Here are the pinouts on this product DIN to RJ45: 1 - NC 2 - 1 3 - 3 4 - 4 5 - NC 6 - 5 7 - 2 8 - NC
