Similar to Castles of Burgundy, but easier.
We like Castles of Burgundy, so we thought we'd try this newer game. It sets up easily with almost unlimited board variations. The board pieces are heavy cardboard. Very nice. Each type of piece has a set play bonus, unlike Burgundy. The player board has clear pictorial explanations. The game takes less set up time, plays quicker, and weighs less for travel carry. We still enjoy Castles of Burgundy, but Castles of Tuscany is well worth the replay value.

Great game
Love it. Shorter than cob.

Easier and Quicker than Burg
This game uses some of the same ideas as Castles of Burgandy (which, admittedly, is my preferred game between the two), but this one is easier to teach and much faster to play. This would be a heavier "filler" game in my opinion.

Good game, poor components. Update!
Pros: easy to learn, quick turns, and has a level of strategy that isn't too complicated for new players but satisfying for experienced gamers.Cons: the components are not the highest quality. Thin cards that appear to be misprinted on some of them. Box comes dinged up.Ravensburger did right! I just requested new region cards and they replaced the entire game!

Great game!
We love this game! It’s easy to teach and learn and a blast to play! Every time we’ve introduced someone to it they’ve ended up buying it as well.

Fun game
This game is a bit addictive for us. It's a take off on The Castle of Burgundy, and I know a lot of people compare them because of that, but it really seems very different to me. We've played both 2 and 3 player games and they both worked well.
