I really really like this light and how easy it is to use and adjust. I use it for photography in addition to video. This was a game changer for me. I can't say enough good things about this product and the option available. I've done 3 hour events and Battery life was great! I only turned on when needed, just to conserve battery life, but realized after the event that I had 50% left. Light gets super bright and I love the adjustable lumens, along with color.My only criticism of this device is the swivel joint. It is tilt only. I would prefer a ball joint (or the like) to adjust tilt, pan and potentially off angels to bounce or defuse light.

Very bright and great for vlogging. Can be used as a key light or a fill light. Temperature control make it easy to get the right tone of lighting no matter the 9situation. Cheap and solid performing product. give it 4 stars because it doesnt come with a battery or an adapter. You have to buy one or the other separately.

You should be aware upfront that this light comes with neither a battery, nor a power cord. In other words you will not be able to use it unless you purchase either 12 Volt 2 Amp LED Strip Light Power Adapters or DSTE NP-F550 Batteries.That said, it is bright, compact; and the ability to fine-tune the color temperature is very useful. The stands it comes with are adequate, and it has standard screw holes for tripod or light stand mounting. I haven't used the stick handles that can also screw in there, but I like the idea of holding one up like an old-timey flashlamp.Since the cords and batteries I linked both come in two-packs, I ended up getting two lights as well. I have been using them in conjunction with the Fovitec - 2x 20"x28" Softbox Studio Video Photography Light kit. The Fovitec set (of two lights) is about the same price as two of these + accessories, but much brighter and comes with stands and a carrying case. I highly recommend it, BUT you might opt for these LED lights if you have limited space or need the color control.

I don't know if I need anything for lighting beyond this in the early game. It is a great key light with warm and cool adjustable color. Cold shoe mount goes on my rig, or the little stand just sits on my shelf when Im filming at my desk. I later got a 3/8" to 1/4" adapter to put it on a tripod or light stand/boom poleThis is the most recommended light for starter Videographers, and at $28, it is $ well spent.

Pros: Bright and nice warm light, fairly reasonable price.Cons: The app which the manufacture says in comments is available is on a website simply does not work for this light from what I was able to ascertain. So you have to awkwardly reach behind the light to change it and that is a real inconvenience. The manufacturer specifically says the app works for this model and the website is in Chinese only. I wonder if the light really has WiFi or Bluetooth at all. I wish I had looked into other options, I would have paid a little more for one with a working app or remote. Also, the light has an abrupt shut-off when you dim it down so far, this is not a deal breaker, maybe all of these led lights have a shut off point like this one. Would I buy it again? Probably not with the android app and their website language barrier.This is a disappointment and also misleading that the manufacturer states in reviews "there is an app" Yes, there is an app but it does not work after a lot of effort trying it. I would give the review 5 stars if it were not for the app. The light other than the app is nice.The app is not available in the Google Play store, you have to go to a website and download it and then move it to your phone (which requires a computer) your phone complains the app is "not secure" all to find out it does not work anyway.It would be nice if the base had standard GoPro connectivity too.I needed the app to work and it doesn't. Not pleased.Will update if I figure it out.

Nice little fill light as long as you have reasonable expectations. Works well for interview but it’s not going to fill a sports arena!!!======UPDATE: It always ran cool and worked great until last week when it suddenly overheated and melted. The knob is warped and is no longer round, you can see the internal wires, the back is slightly warped from the heat, and the battery pins are out of alignment, and it no longer accepts the battery. I'm finding the warranty support with Yongnuo is a challenge. I filed a product saftely report with the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Does not come with batteries or A/C unit!!!! The light however is really useful and very portable. YouTube reviews will give you a perfect understanding of this light, but I enjoy the hell out of it.When using With daylight it’s not super strong so you have to find a way to get it closer to the subject, so for close ups and some mid range shots it’s very useful. In controlled studio settings it has too many uses to write here. Remember, it’s soft light, has no barn doors, and when you use only one of the colors the amount of light is less than when using both. That might put some people off but having this unit as a run and gun photographer is massive (esp when dealing with nightfall).

Beautiful soft light. It's definitely not bright enough to be your only source of light, but that's not why I bought it anyway. It feels very well made and I love how customizable the light output is. I do wish that the mount was either changeable or at least a ball head though.

Ich bin sehr enttäuscht. Das Gerät wird ohne Akku ausgeliefert und benötigt einen Sonder Akku. Außerdem kommt es auch ohne Netzteil und der Fuß zum Montieren auf die Blitzhalterung der Kamera passt nicht zur norm er ist zu groß. Zudem ist das warme Licht deutlich dunkler als das kalte. Gemessen mit einer Fuji XT2 und Capture one.Habe mir ein Ralemo geholt. 10€ mehr, mit Netzteil, mit Akku, heller, Genauso schwer, die Halterung passt und die Licht Farben sind gleichmäßiger in der Helligkeit.Ein kleines Plus gibt es. Für die Größe ist es echt hell.

Comodo, versatile, utile soprattutto per piccoli set e come luce di schiarita. Lo uso spesso e mi trovo bene, soprattutto per la scelta dei kelvin.

Does the job as a key light in the studio. Not as bright as some others on the market but plenty bright enough for most uses. Also the translucent cover diffuses the light somewhat which is handy. Keep in mind there is no remote for this one, you have to go to the next model up for that.Still, a good light.
