They’re a wee bit of a struggle to put on if you’re unfamiliar with a new mask, but it works great once attached. This helped keep our hair from being ripped out by the scuba mask strap. I highly recommend the item. My hair is 4 ft in length and it worked fine. Glad I had it or our trip to Hawaii for daily snorkel and scuba diving.

Keeps hair from getting tangled and is very comfortable

If you plan to dive or snorkel, you absolutely MUST get something to cover the basic head strap your mask comes with. Even as a man with somewhat short hair, I had a bear of a time with the standard strap. Get yourself a neoprene cover (like this, or a cheaper non-branded version; I just wanted to color coordinate) or an elastic strap.I'd say there are two downsides to this cover. One is inherent to the product, one could be improved.First, the inherent drawback: neoprene takes time to dry. After you dive or clean your equipment, it'll be a while before this is ready for storage. If you already have boots or a full suit, that might not add much to your time or space requirements, but it is worth noting. I'm not knocking anything off for that.Second, it is a right pain to get this over an existing strap. When it's on, the two velcro spots and its snugness keep it exactly where you want it, which is great! Ideally, you'll put it on once and never touch it again. But lemme tell ya, getting it on and the mask strap oriented correctly and untwisted was "fun". I can imagine this could be improved, and I'd give it 4.5 if I could.In conclusion, you'll want something to cover that mask strap. This will totally do the job. It's a bit pricey (cause branding), but it works well.

Been using this mask strap for a couple of weeks now! No tangles in my hair, easy to adjust! It does loosen up on its own a little bit after a few dives/swims, so make sure you readjust before you get into the water. Also make sure to see if it works with the mask you own as it is not a universal fit to all masks. I love this mask strap, such a cute way to add some personality to your gear!
