Does this compass also show true north

No! A magnetic compass will only maturely show magnetic north. It can show True north if you work out the Magnetic angle and then move the compass housing to allow for this difference, you will then have True North.

The compass delivered has an air bubble will this stop it from working?

It will still work, but if the bubble is nudged up against the needle it can cause it to jam just off correct. this is an ok compass to teach a youngster how to use a protractor compass and not be too concerned if they lose it. But for serious navigation, buy the best, either Silva or Suunto. My Suunto has been totally reliable for the last 25 years
