Vestil PAIL-STL-RI-UN Steel Pail with Handle, 5 gallon Capacity, Black

Arrived clean and dent free, very nice finish. Just as a precaution since a review or two mentioned rust forming on the seam- I gave the entire inside/outside a couple of coats of clear. I needed it for long term storage, so a coat of clear was on my 'to-do' list anyways.I also purchased the lid. Nice, tight fit and secure.

I bought this to fill with acetone and desolve baked on plastic on paper shredder heads and the little metal dogs.It dents super easy because it's very thin metal. I could easily puncture it which is a no go when full acetone.I would like to see it in a 6 or 7 gallon taller can and much much thicker metal, possibly ribbed for strength.I bought a clamp on lid (thin as well) so the acetone doesn't evaporate.Next time I buy kilz oil paint. I'm saving that can, it's much thicker metal.

Nice & tough, American made bargain. See Photo (Amazon turned it horizontal?). Came with small dentl. Bought it after orange Homer bucket with additional liner kept collapsing when using my Dust Deputy when detail sanding. Made platform with 1/2" plywood & old bed casters. Put plywood spacers under bottom recess & sheet metal screwed the pail to the platform. Bought Vestil pail lid & reinforced it with a plywood disc. The lid is a little fussy putting on because of locking mechanism, but otherwise good. Used rope caulk on Dust Deputy connection to lid & silicone caulk on pail bottom screws. All works well. Shop-Vac 2 1/2" Hose Handle, also purchased here, stops top hose from kinking & has a waste gate to lower suction when necessary as when suction is strong enough to suck everything out of pail & into vacuum.. A 2nd Shop-Vac 2 1/2" Hose Handle allows me to attach a 1 1/4" hose from a small Shop-Vac to the side of the Dust Deputy when sanding drywall, grinding concrete, sanding wood when tools require smaller hose. .

reasonable quality pail with an over the top price, I would not buy again!

This bucket immediately starts to rust along the seam line as well as the bottom of the bucket.It cannot be used in conjunction with any form of moist material due to the rusting condition!!This product is misrepresented in the ad. When the rusting is made obvious to the customer, only a few days from receiving it,the Supplier THEN informs the buyer that the product CANNOT BE RETURNED!!It is quite obvious that the Manufacturer knows that the rusting bucket is useless.I want my money back!

I use this for storing quenching oil. I have had it quite a while and have experienced no leaks or rust. I have quenched many pieces of metal in it, over 1500 degrees Fahrenheit. It heats up the oil and the pail to 300-400 degrees. I’ve never had any issues. I’m certainly this will last me many years.

Been using plastic 5 gallon pail and shop vac sucks the sides in and wore it down .. The metal bucket and Metal lid work fantastic...It has a lot more suction .the Plastic pail had small holes from sucking in during clogs. This works Great with the Dust Buddy

I use this for yard work and carrying rocks to build a garden wall. The bucket is very sturdy and so far very durable because it does take a beating and is holding up well. It was alot more affordable than the metal buckets at our local hardware store.
