I own the SLK 250 but was a bit underwhelmed with the books content of my particular gasoline powered model.

If you are looking for a repair manual for your SLK do not buy this book

The book is a good history lesson about this beautiful car.

An excellent book for prospective buyers, owners and just enthusiasts.... Gives details and practical advice of the 3rd generation SLK

The book covers all aspects of the car without getting into minute detail. I liked the section on the history of the vario roof as this is quite a defining aspect of the car. It was good that the diesel is covered, as this is the best seller in the UK by the look of the used market. If anything is missing, it's a little bit more about the ownership experience - what's it like to like with day to day - something more emotional than factual.

Having purchased a 2015MY 250d last week I found this book to be an excellent source of information on the background and development of the car. It also has a lot of practical information for a new owner. If you have an SLK this is a must buy!
