A Brilliant iPhone Case
I had a Griffin Survivor case for my previous iPhone and was very pleased with it so naturally looked for a similar case for my new iPhone. I was dismayed to see the poor reviews for this case and couldn't understand why. After much thought I decided to stick with it and am very pleased that I did. I can understand some of he negative comments particularly ones that say how difficult it is to remove the case and I immediately had this problem as I forgot I hadn't put my sim card in! I struggled so much that I sent an email to Griffin and was amazed to get an instant reply which immediately solved my problem. The problem is that the case comes with no instructions and it is not immediately obvious what you need to do, especially how to remove it. Now I have solved that problem I am so very pleased with it.

Fantastic Very Secure Csse
This a great card that keeps your phone very secure. I love the fact there is a small tab that keeps your charging socket/ hole protected from dust. Indentations on the sides help make it easier to hold and all the buttons line up nicely with the phones ones, particularly the sound on and off ones. The case- I don’t think it is too bulky either. Loved the case and would recomend it

Robust case for outdoor adventure
I have been using the Griffin Survivor Extreme (or equivalent) on my last six iPhones and all have protected the phone over their lives. It’s a great product that takes nothing away from the iPhone design.

Sweat back city
So I’ve been buying these cases for years and for years they’ve been great until now . Not only does it not have a front protector anymore but the back is no longer ridged so get used to wiping finger sweat off it . Absolute garbage .

All in all, a very good case
It is very good, very nice shaped, it offers good protection. The only minus is that this model, for iphone12, is different from the past models (i had same case for iphone 6 and iphone 8) meaning that it doesn’t have a front case anymore. The old cases had also a front cover, it was 360 degrees. With this one you have to add an extra screen cover.

Not happy
The case looks great and will do a great job of protecting your phone. However I decided that the case was a bit to big for me and intended to return it, that’s when I had trouble. I couldn’t get the damn thing off, it has such a tight fit I thought I was going to break my phone getting it off. After trying for most of one afternoon trying different ways, extremely sore thumbs and a bent nail I lost it and cut the case off. Obviously bang goes my refund. Think carefully before buying. Ive had Survivor cases before with no problem, but not any more.

It’s named survivor but actually delicate to handle
I have used survivor case since iPhone 6 Plus . At that time it was huge and solid protection . For my iPhone 12 Pro Max it’s not the same . The thin piece of plastic to cover iPhone first is very fragile and prone to breakage . I hope griffin addresses this issue and provide me solution also .

Exactly what I was looking for
I did a lot of research before settling on this case. I was searching for a case that looked nice but also protected my phone well, and this one seems to fit the bill! I forgot to take a picture of the case before putting on it on my phone, so I've attached a webcam photo to show what it looks like on my phone because I had a hard time finding accurate images when I was considering buying this case (apologies for the image quality!). The images for the Navy Blue/Quartz version of this case make it look a bit like only the borders of the case are navy blue and that the body of the case is a gray color. However, in reality, that color will depend on the base color of your phone because the body of the case is a black translucent material. I'm not sure why they did that--I think the case might have looked better on more phones if they had gone with a navy color for the entire case. Regardless, my iPhone is navy, so the translucent part of the case just looks like a darker navy, and I really like how that looks. :) It would probably look more gray on a white iPhone. As others have noted, this case does not come with a screen protector (which I was aware of before I purchased it), but it does have raised edges. I do think this company should be more straightforward in their marketing, like OtterBox was for its Defender cases this year when it said, "Pair with an OtterBox screen protector for total, 360-degree protection." The listing for this case claims 360-degree protection, but for complete 360-degree protection, I would recommend adding a screen protector. Prior to putting this case on, I applied a Spigen EZ Fit tempered glass screen protector; perhaps that's overkill, especially because the iPhone 12 already has stronger glass than previous models did, but I really wanted to protect my phone from drops and scratches. This case does seem like it would be tricky to get off, and it was a little tricky to get on, so keep that in mind if you like to switch out your cases often. So far, I'm really happy with my purchase though and I would buy this again. It feels similar to the Otterbox Defender that I had on my last phone, and it has a higher drop test rating than the majority of the other cases I considered. I also really like the feel of the case in my hand--it has some texture on the sides for added grip, and the buttons aren't too hard to push. The charging port snaps in and out easily, and my phone actually seems easier to handle with the case on than without because I'm no longer accidentally touching the screen just when holding my phone.

Robust

Very strong
I used otterbox for years after using this case never ever again. This case is the best I ever used. So strong. I dropped my phone in this case so much. I will never use any else. But griffin. Cases.

misleading
Pictures are wrong. You only get the back "black" cover, but there is no front piece to fully encapsulate the phone. Shockingly cheap, overpriced item compared to what Griffin Survivor used to offer. I just received one as a gift, and upon opening it, my wife was shocked to see that it was just the back. But we are past the crummy 30 day return window, so it appears we're stuck with it? Truly awful. For what you get, this shouldn't be more than $20.
