Pack of 20 threaded wood screws for furniture inserts. Thread Type: 1/4"-20 Total length: 15 mm. Head diameter: 11.7 mm. Thread diameter: 10.4 mm. Body diameter: 8 mm. Material: Carbon Steel, Zinc Plated ▲▲▲ - Suggested drilling hole for softwood: 8.5mm, 9mm, 3/8". ▲▲ - Suggested drilling hole for hardwood: 10mm Note: The size of the drill hole depends on the hardness of the material. ★★★Please drill a suitable hole, test to check if the inserts fit correctly. In softer wood, outer threads cut easily into wood, just drill a proper hole size (8.5mm, 9.5mm, 9.5mm, 9.5mm) for insert body, then screw the insert into the place. In very hard wood such as white oak or maple, drill a hole size (3/8", 9.5mm, 10mm) that is close to the outer diameter of the threads. If the drilled hole is too small for the wires, the screw can split the wood or insert it. The package comes with 40pcs wooden nuts + 1pcs 6mm allen key.

**Q: are these available in metric sizes?**
A: Sorry that metric M6 is out of stock now. This is the standard 1/4-20 threads insert nuts, work with 1/4-20 bolts. M6 and 1/4-20 have the same dia and length, except the threads are different.

**Q: Will these work well in plywood (without using epoxy)?  Would be using these as 1/4" lag screw replacements on desk legs.**
A: Yes they would work fine. 8 hold in my 100 pound sub while its playing. Plenty strong in plywood

**Q: What are they made of? I need some that a magnet will stick to.**
A: The threaded inserts are made of carbon steel, magnets stick to carbon steel.

**Q: Can you get 1/4-20x10 non flanged brass wood inserts?? maybe 150  pieces**
A: We don't have brass wood inserts in US warehouse currently, sorry
