Clover 9103 Mini Iron II Large Tip

I have two mini irons from 16 years ago when I owned a quilt shop. I tried to use them last week and no go....they wouldn't turn on. I googled the name and lo and behold, the Clover Mini 2 iron was there. I used it the other day and love it. It now has a barrel to protect your fingers.....a blessing as I burned myself a number of time. It works well in turning edges for applique. I have not used the large tip yet but am sure it will work equally well.

I use this tip for quilting. It works great for pressing seams. If I try to use a full size iron, I find that I iron all the other seams that I don't want to iron and it is very frustrating. This puts an end to all that frustration! I really didnt think something like this would really work. It doesnt look like it would even get hot enough. Believe me, it gets PLENTY hot!!

This product is great for use on those items that are too delicate or too small for pressing on a heat press. Caution: you can get burned if you're not very careful! The metal in this mini iron gets VERY hot. But it is a great tool when the heat press can't be used. You must have the mini iron to use this attachment.

Be careful-this gets very hot! Use the stand when you need to put it down and only ever hold it by the handle. In my opinion, the metal piece that holds the mini iron sole plate and fits into the handle is too long and creates a safety hazard. Shorter would give you less of a chance to burn yourself on the long handle What I like is that you can change handles which come in different iron sizes.

The Mimi Iron II adapter tip (#9103) is ONLY a piece of hardware that you put into the Iron; it is NOT the iron itself. I made this error, thinking I was ordering the Mini Iron II, not being familiar with this item and the terminology of it. The Mini Iron II is available, and the best price you'll find is on Amazon. You use it to iron very small piece of fabric when you are piecing a quilt top, that a regular-sized iron is too big to get into the little crevices, and of course any other project where you need a small iron. You can buy an iron with all the tips with it, or you can buy just the iron and whatever tip is on it, or you can buy separate tips. Search for the lowest price, because I have seen this item priced way, way too high. Don't pay more than $20 for this item - maybe a little more if it has all the tips with it. I don't feel I need all those tips. Be careful that the item you buy does not say Adapter tip, if you're wanting to buy the iron itself.

This is a fine product I'm sure but Amazon offered it as a lower cost add-on item with my purchase of the Clover Mini Iron. The only problem is that it didn't fit the clover mini iron which it was offered with. It fits the next sized iron, the clover mini iron II. Misleading...but since it was less than $6, my loss, their gain.

I bought this sized attachment before I realized that it came with the deluxe package! I love my iron it is so handy for pressing narrow seams when I’m making Covid masks and know it will be great for all sewing and quilting! Best of all there’s no steam to burn your fingers!! Only complaint is the stand is pretty Mickey Mouse! Needs much sturdier one! Warning : the high heat setting is hot enough to melt any polyester blend fabric!!!
