Great looking sturdy bag for traveling and everyday outings.

This is a very nice size tote bag and holds quite a lot of items. It’s well made, sturdy, holds its shape when partially full or not completely full - and for a decent price too. The one thing that sold me on it was the writing on the front, which is in French. It refers to a region near Bordeaux, where they produce a variety of wines. It’s extremely wet known for their wines that carry the Bordeaux label. I saw that someone was displeased with this writing, however I have been to that area a couple of times and it brings back memories of my visits. I have 2 other smaller bags by the same manufacturer and they too have writing on it - also in French. I’m not fluent in the language, but I do understand and speak it to a small extent (from high school and college classes - more than 45 years ago!), but would still like the uniqueness of this bag even if I didn’t understand the words. It’s an ‘attention getter’, and I’ve received multiple complements from people who see it, even complete strangers. The bag looks like it’s ‘worn’, but that’s the intention! I did take away one star for the color being a bit deceiving - it’s not the very pale, soft green as it shows online, but more like a lighter sage green color. I like it even better this way, but that’s my own opinion. I haven’t used it every day and really only do when I have a lot to carry, or when I travel (I take it on the plane as my ‘personal’ item and then another one as a carry-on). It’s very good for traveling as it holds just about everything you would need, such as iPad, phone, laptop, travel documents, a smaller ‘purse’ type item, water bottle, etc.! I think it would be good as an every day bag or for anyone who is going to be gone - like a day trip, or to the beach - for a while. Being that it’s canvas material I am assuming it’s washable, as I do with my other canvas items like hats and sneakers. I put them in a gentle cycle (inside out if possible) with cold water and mild detergent, and then let them air dry. I’ve never had any problems doing this, and having a classic case of OCD, I do this often! I would definitely recommend this unique bag, or maybe one of the other ones they make, to anyone - for yourself or as a gift!
