It is sturdy and should protect the tablet even if it is dropped. This has not happened yet. I have only had it a few months. The only thing that we dislike is that it comes with a protection shield for the glass on the tablet, but it is not easy to apply as there are too many air bubbles when trying to put it on. We did not use it. The colors are also true to photos so if you purchase the blue one it is really that blue. i would recommend this for anyone that wants a cover for their tablet that will protect it.
