Q: How do the plastic components hold up to the sun? Here in AZ sun makes plastic very brittle after just 1 summer

I didn’t have a problem with the plastic holding up to the sun, I did have a problem with the weight of the plants breaking them.

Q: will these fit in a 5 gal bucket??

Unfortunately a 5 gal bucket measures 11” on the inside. The cross pieces that hold the structure together are 12”. So I doubt very much you could make it work. The sticks are somewhat flexible however

I was not impressed with the product. will never deal with them again

Q: I assembled mine but don't know what the little clips are for. How are they used?

The little alligator clips hold the growing vines against the cage and can be moved around as the vines grow.
