First Understand 2 words "LAN (wifi on but without internet supply)" and "WAN (wifi on with internet supply). Device is so smart in WAN. As soon as you loose internet connection with the device, it becomes semi smart. This device can be used in LAN also but with limited features, i.e. countdown and on/off from the mobile app but the catch is you have to be connected with the same wifi which is connected with the device and so you can't control it far from your wifi's range. One thing troubles me in LAN is - schedule stops working completely. Even you can't re-enter any new schedule timing in LAN. Entries for schedule are only accepted by device when there is internet connection. When you are out of city and internet is gone then schedule will not work, it becomes super dumb here because it will not execute schedule timings you entered before. However if you had turned on notification while schedule time setting - then you will be notified that device was unable to execute, but thats all.. you can't do anything to make it work as per schedule. If schedule is so important for you then buy SONOFF Basic switch (this is not a plug, you have to work with wires to set this device - though its not tough, but incase you dont want to do it by ur self then call an electrician he will do it within 5 minutes ). In this device schedule works even after no internet supply. Because it remembers schedule. But if you had lost internet and then any single power drop after internet loss then the device forgets schedule and becomes super dumb till internet is back. If power drop is rare at your place then SONOFF does the job.

Very Disappointing Experience with Wipro 10A Smart Plug – Poor Quality and Unreliable Product I purchased a set of two Wipro 10A Smart Plugs (Model: B08HNB2FSH) from Amazon India in late September 2025, expecting reliable performance for home automation and energy monitoring. Unfortunately, the experience has been extremely disappointing. Within a very short period of use, one of the plugs failed completely—it stopped responding, showed no lights or connectivity, and could not be reset or made to work through any recommended troubleshooting steps. All usage was well within the guidelines, and the faulty unit was installed and operated exactly as per instructions. Shockingly, while the second plug from the same lot continues to function, the failed unit became completely non-responsive in just a few weeks. This points to serious quality and consistency issues in Wipro's manufacturing process for their smart plugs. For a product designed for daily home use, such early breakdown is unacceptable. In summary: One out of two plugs failed within weeks of purchase. Standard troubleshooting does not fix the issue; the device remains dead. Not worth the risk for anyone seeking dependable smart home automation. I would not recommend this product based on my experience with quality and durability.​

Just 2 points 1. The plug is overall great. Reliable. Some features that are not related to a live internet connection dont work when internet is out. Else its all good. 2. Our order of late sep 2025 aold by clicktech sent the wrong model (round input slots instead of international style slots). Our request for replacement with correct model was rejected by amazon, even though call centre agent agreed to our point as its quite visually obvious. So perhaps best to not order from clicktech for a while till their current stock runs out as they have bar coded the product incorrecrly. PS: after 2 days of use, the plug switches off by itself after a few hrs. Have reset it thrice but its the same. We have 5 of these so its not a wipro issue but this particular piece. The clicktech plug we received last week is 2019 mfg, so its 6 yrs old - maybe thats the reason. I dont have it in me to listen to non stop loop of pls wait for 20 min when calling amazon call centre so i think i will just have to throw this away. Sad. Unfair too. And such a waste.

Best investment, such an easy thing to use and make daily tasks more easier!
