The shoes were for my partner. One of the things I noticed and possibly because it's DC the shoe looked good. Usually with the larger shoe sizes they can look a bit off or they might not offer a likable appearance. They were comfortable, stylish and a great price.

This is a very grippy skate shoe. It's not for running, so don't wear it for a 5K. I initially picked this up for mountain biking, and it's actually been pretty good for that - even though that's not what it's engineered for. For flat pedals, flat soled shoes are best. However if you look out here in Amazon land, you won't find flat bottom shoes in larger sizes (US 14+/EU 47+) and I tick in at a US 15/EU 50. I have a set of flat pedals (Bontreger Line Pro) and let me tell you . . . these things are grippy Acessing Freon. My feet are happy with these shoes. They provide good cushioning and look great doing it. They are not as durable nor as supportive as true biking shoes are. However for those of us with large feet who are curious, I support these shoes. How much? After buying one on sale, I picked up a second pair. Granted, that's just my personal experience.

These shoes have been exceptionally well made. They have grippy soals and are very durable. I have gotten them full of saltwater and they are still going strong. They are on the thicker side of soals and I prefer thinner, but the last pair of shoes I had wore through after heavy use driving my manual car. These don't show any sign of wear. They don't stain too bad either and I could get pretty much any dirt off with dish soap of Windex. I would recommend them to casual to intermediate driving/track days. I can heal and toe ok, even with the 11.5. Scion tC boys

I've been wearing DCs since middle school (I'm 30 now), so was comfortable with ordering mine online, because I know that they run a little small (about a 1/2 size, I think, but don't quote me on that). I'd recommend going to a local store and trying them on before ordering online if you're not familiar with them. Just keep in mind: It is a shoe designed for skateboarding, so there's a huge amount of padding and cushion to absorb impact and provide support. That being said - I LOVE THESE SHOES! As soon as they come out of the box, its like they're already broken-in. They are so comfortable, it's stupid. They're great for skating, walking, or just every day wear. I love the jet black color without all of the ridiculous patterns and colors. Since I work an office job, my attire has to be more or less business casual, and I always get asked by my co-workers where I got my shoes because they look so clean and comfortable. Its awesome that I can skate in the same shoes that I work in! They're perfect for work or play. Keep up the good work, DC.
