It’s black like ABS but thinner. Didn’t work for me. Leaked from where the elbow connects to the out going drain line. Purchased one from Home Depot and it worked fine.

Why does it spin freely on the drain? It's supposed to be tightened from underneath, in my crawlspace?

It does, it screws on from both ends for a tight fit
