This egg crate is exactly as described in the product details. The vacuum bag is removable without the use of scissors. After opening the package, I laid the memory foam upon our spare bed to allow the foam to expand on a flat surface overnight . The memory foam has no chemical odors at all and it fully expanded without any deformations. I chose this memory foam topper specifically because it did not contain cooling gel. I wanted to be sure my mother’s bed would be warm and comfortable. She is very happy with this memory foam so I am as well. Great comfort, high quality for a reasonable price!

Everyone in the house is happy about this "crate" because momma finally got some sleep. Have had severe back pain radiating down one leg. Flotation on the crate relieved a lot of pressure and pain by aligning my spine better. Got the bamboo charcoal infused model; absolutely NO ODOR even when we first took it out of the compact shipping box. It expanded to its full shape in minutes - no waiting any 24 or 72 hours. I really appreciate the way my "crate" was wrapped in a plastic tube and shrink-wrapped, then rolled up and wrapped with heavy plastic and boxed for shipping. Clean and no tears from packing. Cool and comfortable, not hot at all. I think the price was fair.

This was exactly as described. It expands to a full four inches. I ordered the twin size after pricing all kinds of beds for large dogs - they are expensive, especially when you are searching for orthopedic support for aging dogs. So, instead of spending $300.00 at LL Bean (yes that is the cost for a top-rated, XL, basic orthopedic bed) I bought this twin size for $75.00 and a cover for about $40.00. The topper arrived yesterday, and I was impressed that there didn't seem to be an odor. It was compressed and had to be carefully cut out of the packaging, but it was easy to stretch out on my dining room table so it could expand. After about 15 minutes it was fully expanded so I measured my pup's current bed and cut the topper for bed one. Perfect fit in his old bed cover! I was surprised that the foam was so easy to cut. It was a little challenging - it is four inches high, but overall, not that hard taking it a little at a time. Now I am waiting on the cover I ordered from Amazon to arrive so I can make the second bed. I will have some left over and I may be able to make some type of pillow with the left-over foam. Who knows???? So, for a little over $100.00 I will have two dog beds made with egg crate memory foam that is firm and soft at the same time. My 90lb Chocolate Labrador Retriever loves it! He is 13 and when he tried it out yesterday - he just crashed, stretched out, and slept so well. I hope this continues to help him because he was getting more and more restless during the night on his old bed. I am truly impressed with the quality of this foam topper. I have no idea of a rating for a human bed, but it was a great buy for a homemade doggie bed.

Although this mattress topper is very comfortable I recently discovered that this has been the source of years of back pain for me. The pain started a few months after buying this mattress topper but I could not pinpoint what was causing the pain, after all, this was a soft comfortable mattress to lie on, how could it cause me any pain? I think the main issue is that it does not give you the support you need and as a result can cause misalignment in one's spine over time. For me, it was causing pain in my lower back. After many visits with different chiropractors, my condition persisted and I didn't see any long-term improvement. I recently removed the mattress topper from my bed and to my surprise, my condition drastically improved after only a few days which led me to realize that all the pain I felt over the last 4 years may have been caused by the lack of support that this mattress topper failed to provide. I may be wrong about this but if anyone else has experienced any back pain I would urge them to consider removing this mattress topper just to see if their condition improves.
