I bought two one large one extra large. I am 7 3/4" military standard size for hats. The extra large obviously was best fit. So, the size charts work perfectly and are to scale for military previous sizes. I would strongly recommend x-large for anyone 7 1/2" or greater, anything below that I am not aware of best fits. I absolutely love my cover though. Fits perfectly and does not at all ride up. The smaller size did ride up, but that is to be expected seeing that it was to small for my head. I intend on keeping it for when I have someone in my life. Yup the hat is that awesome and very cozy. I think it would also make a very pleasant gift for someone living in cooler climates. As I mentioned in my title, this cover has no annoying little nobs sticking up at all. Has a smooth no bumps look. Looks just like it fits, if providing you buy the correct size for you melon

I ordered the large due to my large "Charlie Brown" head. It fits well but is not roomy. When it covers my ears it is sitting on the top of my head meaning that the sides are not as long as a knit hat. That said, I love this hat and it is super comfortable. Order a patch to stick on the Velcro attachment point. It makes it look better. Hope this helps.

Husband has big head so hats and beanies are always an issue. He bought this in XL and it was too small and he returned it. I came by a couple of weeks later and accidentally bought the same hat in XL. This one fit perfectly. Go figure... Order a few, try them all on, then return the ones that don't fit. Maybe that will teach them to get their sizing accurate.

I'm actually pretty happy with this hat. It was a bit tight when I initially put it on but that'll go away once you start to wear it and break it in. But with it being as tight as it is you're not going to easily lose it especially if you're riding the four wheeler around. The material is a bit thin but is otherwise comfortable and from what I'm able to tell is pretty warm. Not to mention the ability to customize it with whatever patches you want and that's always fun.

This is a nice beanie. I wear a 7 1/8 - 7 1/4 hat and do not like a tight fit as it gives me a headache. I ordered a large which is a good fit. It has nice stretch and stays over my ears. The material has a nice smooth finish and the Velcro loop is a good quantity and attached well. I found that my head was very warm in 30 degree F temp and I imagine it would keep you comfortable at a much lower temp. I found a little bit of extra material on the top of my head but not enough to complain about. I would guess there would be no extra material with a size medium but I prefer the looser fit.

Very warm, fit perfect, it is true to its size with nothing less and nothing more to spare as far as material goes. I have nothing negative to say about the product in itself , except that the packaging was rather interesting , as it did not come in a box or a bubble envelope, but rather a brittle cellophane like plastic with a shipping label attached, I don’t know how well that packaging would hold up if you had a careless deliverer or advert weather conditions but other than that mild complaint the product was fantastic.

The hat is real nice but the patch locations are a slight out of measure. If you center the front patch the back one is about a quarter of an inch off. not a function problem but a visual one. If you have to be presentable for a official function you might want to reconsider this hat.

Muy corta, no tapa las orejas como en la ilustración. Ni a mi mujer que mide 1.50m le quedó bien cubriendo apenas medio centímetro de sus orejas. Parece mas para uso infantil. Una decepción ya que el material si se siente de calidad.
