Can these be used in the bathroom ?

Mine are in the bathroom as long as the light fitting is bathroom ready and sealed you should be sign.

Will they work in my cooker hood

Any bulb type (halogen or LED) will work in your cooker hood providing the hood has the correct fitting for the type of bulb you would like to use. I suggest you remove the existing bulb and look at its base and make sure you purchase a bulb with an identical fitting. However, please note that the type of bulb you are specifically asking about is really a spotlight bulb where it generates a cone of light. I suggest it would be better to purchase a build with more omnidirectional coverage. I also think you will find that the fitting in the cooker hood does not take this kind of bulb, but you could, of course, change it.
