Learn the myths and legends behind this beloved goddess plus practices and suggestions for making Hekate part of your spiritual path. Courtney Weber (author of Brigid and The Morrigan ) offers an informed, accessible journey through the lore and history of Hekate, the ancient goddess of crossroads, ghosts, and witchcraft, and reflects on Hekate’s relevance today. Tools and techniques for incorporating this goddess into your personal journey round out the book. Similar to her other works, Weber strikes a balance between the scholarly and the spiritual. Her exploration of Hekate combines solid research with practical, modern applications. The spiritual content is accessible to anyone with an interest in witchcraft, regardless of their faith or background. Each chapter focuses on a different aspect of Hekate, exploring original mythology, historical context, and contemporary connotations, concluding with spells and personal rituals. The final chapter is a grimoire full of rituals, offerings, and other practices designed to help readers align themselves with this extraordinary goddess. The book also explores magickal ethics, what it means to be a witch in the twenty-first century, and best practices for successful witchcraft. Review: Very informative - Recently, Hekate has made it very clear to me that I have always been her child. She’s appeared in my dreams and visions for years and I had always thought she was my mother from a past life, as this woman had told me she was my mother. I’ve felt Hekate calling to me for over a year now, but in recent months I set up an altar and began slowly building a relationship. A few weeks ago the same woman came to me in a meditation and told me she’s Hekate, and I have always been her child but I wasn’t ready to know who she was until then. I felt drawn to buy this book a few days ago, and I’m so glad that I did. I felt she pushes me towards this book specifically, so she clearly likes it a lot. This book is phenomenal. I’m halfway through and I feel so many synchronicities through this book. There’s some repetitive information, but it’s incredibly easy to follow, provides info on her mythology in Greek and outside of Greek. This is also really well written. The author does such a great job at capturing Hekate. I highly recommend this book, and am really looking forward to purchasing more from this author. Review: A must have for those wanting to learn more about Hekate! - This was the first book on Hekate that I read and I cannot recommend it enough! Beautifully written, rich with history and great advice for new witches wanting to begin their journey with the Goddess of Witches. I am so grateful to have found this book and will definitely be purchasing more of Courtney Weber's books in the future.

A great introduction you will want to build on
I’ve lost a lot of myself over the last 10yrs and reading this book felt like taking a big step forward and through. The author does an excellent job introducing and getting you acquainted with Hekate in her different archetypes. There are sprinklings of spells, rituals, prayers, and invocations throughout the book, culminating in “Hekate’s Grimoire” at the end. There’s also information regarding setting up your altar, moon water, making offerings, and so, so much more. Touching on her own personal experiences, the author does a beautiful job of helping you connect on a personal level. She compares the time and effort you put into building and maintaining a romantic relationship to how you would go about building your relationship with the goddess, which I found to be extremely helpful. This take also helped me to carve out time for something I felt was important to me every day, which has been something I had been struggling to do for myself in general for several years. If you intend to take notes, I’d recommend reading through once and taking notes through a second read so you can better organize the information you’re writing down.

First Witchcraft Book
I enjoyed the book and it was very introductory like I hoped. I just wanted to know more about Hekate and wish there was more information on how to directly create spells. However, I will admit I like the grimoire and can understand how magic can’t be defined by one person as one fits all. I’ll also admit in the conclusion of the book I agree that witchcraft is an art and things aren’t set in stone like other religions. I like the creativeness because of that but I still have so many questions. My next book I’m going to read is Hekate Liminal Rites. Hopefully, I can fill in the gaps, but overall, this was a great first book.

Excellent book on Hekate
I loved this book. It was the first one I picked up after feeling called to Hekate, and now it will be a well-worn book I come back to. Absolutely recommend for anyone looking to work with the Goddess of the Crossroads

Beautifully written and deeply informative book!
Love this book, so informative and I love the author’s voice (very kind and supportive). The only thing I’ll say is that it shouldn’t have been published without an index. I literally started writing my own on one of the pages. It’s not easy to track down all the info on topics like herbs, which are discussed at different points across the different chapters. I totally understand why topics had to span across the chapters, and I'm used to reading books like this. But readers still need a way to efficiently locate all the info on a given topic for comprehension etc in a primarily educational text. That nerdy bit aside, it’s a beautifully written and deeply informative book!

Well researched & a treasure of personal gnosis!
This book is very well researched with many sources to go down the rabbit hole if you so choose. At the same time, it contains a lot of personal gnosis and wisdom accumulated over years of practice and a deep connection to the Goddess. I absolutely loved this book and followed some of the suggestions offered to build a personal relationship with Hekate. If you want to read one book on this beautiful, dark, mysterious and magickal Goddess, I suggest, you pick this one, as it has substance and depth and is not one of those modern fluffy superficial books people write just to hop on the trend bandwagon. Absolutely well deserved 5 stars!

great book, good quality
the product arrived with no damages. I'm not done reading the book yet, but it's very good. it teaches legit informations about Hekate often with sources cited. it also talks about modern examples or anecdotes so that we can further connect and relate with the goddess, and theres many amazing rituals that can be as simple or as complicated as the practitioner wants. good for both beginners and advanced witches/worshippers. Hail Hekate🗝
