JBL Basspro SL2 - Powered under seat subwoofer system, Black

This thing hits hard, plays loud and clean. Don't let the 8" size fool you. It's basically a much better version of an OEM subwoofer like on B&O systems. Will give you that rounded fullness and kick that standard factory systems are lacking. Take your time and dial the gain, boost level to blend with speakers. The result is worth it. I've been doing ICE installs for 20+ years. This is a great product. Installed in a 2025 Jeep Gladiator Mojave and upgraded all other stock speakers to JBL Club Series speakers (6.5" in kickpanels and 6.5 in overhead pod using Metra pods and adapters, 3.5" in dash). Huge difference in clarity and volume. FYI for the sub signal I tapped the front kickpanel speakers and ran the wires down the driver side to under the driver seat. I found this easier than messing with the wire loom for rear overhead pod speakers in the B pillar

This 8inch sub and amp combo is excellent! This works great for a small hatchback with just 4 factory door speakers, this completely changes the sound of the whole system! Install was super easy, ended up mounting it in the hatch rather than under the seat. Will definitely be upgrading to some JBL door speakers soon. Another thing to note with this sub and amp, it isn’t a huge, powerful sub, it’s just enough to add clean bass to your vehicle, if you go from factory speakers to adding something like this… trust me you won’t be disappointed. The bass won’t shake you’re license plate, but it will definitely add some in a car with no sub, and factory speakers. Also sound dampening helps 100% more, and makes the bass much more powerful. In the end if you are looking for a sub that’s going to rattle your license plate off, this definitely isn’t for you. However if you want a simple upgrade from factory, this thing is great, and the user interface is super easy. All included hardware was very nice, and high quality, definitely something to expect out of a JBL product!

Love this sub. Sleek looking, compact design for small spaces with some good bass. Feels premium as JBL should. Had it for over 1 year now and no complaints. I have this in my Ford Maverick Hybrid so installing was easy because the battery is in the back seats. Just less wires to run to the front. Only ran the volume control to the front and you can hide that easy.

Extremely compact and tiny. The sound is much bigger than what it is. Its not going to blow you away but will deliver the bass you need to make the songs sound full and a punch. Great buy especially for the price.

I know it won't fit under every seat, but it fits under the passenger front sit of my rig. I bought a new vehicle that had a garbage sound system. First thing was to rip out all the speakers and replace with new. I still wasn't satisfied with the sound. So I bought this and wired it up. That went very smoothly and the sound filled out nicely. I do suggest wiring and installing the remote volume control. When switching from say, Apple Car Play to radio the audio is not optimized for both and adjustment is needed. Radio stations use continuous look-forward equalizing boxes on their audio prior to transmission, so the bass generally picks up quite a bit when you switch to radio. Easy to adjust with the remote mounted in a convenient location.

Was looking for a little more bass in my camper. This subwoofer faded quickly as the volume was turned up to the point you couldn’t tell whether it was still on. I didn’t have high expectations, but this subwoofer was a total disappointment. Ended up buying a Cerwin Vega VPAS12 for about the same price. Night and day difference.

I guess I should have just bought a true sub and amp. Most likely that's what I'm going to do in the near future. It does add some bass to the car audio, but not what you're looking for if you're used to a true sub and amp. It doesn't have the range of a true sub and it distorts easily if you set your sound preferences up wrong. It's really only good for a certain range of bass. These are all things I would have been aware of if I was more into the technical side of car audio, but I'm just a girl who likes a good bass drop. I've built custom enclosures for subs and installed a lot of amps/sub combos so I'm not inexperienced on installs or settings. Just didn't fully understand the values of the frequencies I suppose. Anyways, if you're looking to add a touch of bass this thing actually doesn't sound horrible. If you love a real sub, the compression wave as it passes through the cabin, the reflex of speaker, and the way it fills out a range of sound qualities/"frequencies" this speaker isn't for you. You won't get those things.

Dissapointed at first.Sounds nice at low volumes but wasn't very loud. After breaking it in for a bit and getting the settings just right it has improved greatly. Id say a bit over priced but works well
