Sorry, I had looked at various ones for weeks before choosing this one but am disappointed. I’m older and therefore need the help cutting things up for recycling. First time I used this it was great - push the button and it stays on and I could cut things up great. Second time the button needed to be tweaked to stay on but still ok. Now, doesn’t stay on at all so I have to hold the button while trying to use the cutter AND it only works when the button is in a certain position - kind of halfway between front and back. Too late to send back but it may end up in the trash because almost impossible to keep it running now. Would not recommend this to anyone.Update: I was contacted by the seller for more I for more information about this product and explained what had happened. They sent me a new item within 3 days of contact and I have set it up and finished what I set out to do and the item is still working. Actually better than the previous one. I have actually recommended it to another family member. Would recommend the item and thought this seller as they do seem to care about their products.

The media could not be loaded. I cut a lot of cardboard and these were described as shears. They are electric scissors not shears. The blade with the D shaped hole did cut cardboard half way decently. For fifty bucks I thought they would do a little better than they do. The video shows a box i'm cutting and it is not that thick. I have to put some force on the tool to move it through the cardboard. The blade with the hole in it ( how to distinguish the blade type) was not suited to this and did not do well on cardboard. I ordered the black blades to see if they are more robust and cut better as they look like they are a bit larger blade. The tool functions as it should just does not have the cutting power I thought it would and it is all about the blades efficiency in cutting. I could cut the boxes faster with my razor but wanted to get away from that for safety reasons. Once I receive the black blade option I will update this review.
