EA 8-hour Skin Protectant
THE BEST LIP MOISTURIZER EVER!!! It starts out greasy but absorbs quickly. It's the moisturizer that I keep in my purse because I can apply to my lips generously, smear the rest onto my hands and dab on my eye area as needed! The smell is not the best, but it's tolerable (it dsnt interfere with any fragrance that you are wearing.) I WON'T run out so I'm grateful I can order it online!

This is enough to do my face, and my heels before I go to bed.
I am a great fan of this product. It has a proprietary mix of Lionel and mineral oils. It’s good for my cracked fingers. As a barber, washing my hands all day. I also use it as a face cream at night. As my eye cream. And to heal cracked heels on my feet. It has a little smell like ginger and lanolin. So don’t expect it to smell like flowers. The smell doesn’t stay with you. I believe Princess Diana used this product as her night cream. And nothing else. It is by Elizabeth Arden, and they still to this day make very quality products. I am a cosmetologist and read the ingredients in products. I did a little homework on this one. And it works! It is a lifesaver.

Makes my skin feel hydrated
This is a new step for me, buying expensive skin cream. I know there's more expensive creams but this is probably as much as I am willing to spend. It has been a voyage of discovery with this tube: I didn't expect that it would be that color (which I think is pink, but I'm not certain) and it smells like what I think is lemon, but once again, I'm not 100% sure. I have been impressed with how it goes on to my skin and my skin definitely feels hydrated, which is what I really needed, so I am satisfied.

Effective but smells like old school petroleum jelly
This is a classic product with a long history of moisturizing/ protecting skin, but I think next time I'll buy a scented version. The fragrance free product reminds me of childhood petroleum jelly and it took a couple of uses to get used to. The performance however is worth it: it absorbs much more quickly than you'd expect and stays on for hours. I find it useful to apply to hands and feet (especially heels!) at night before bed, when it can restore skin undisturbed. It's powerful stuff and only takes a very small amount to do its magic. Very effective in helping aging skin on the back of my hands stay supple and not look lizard-like after a damaging summer of sun.

Strong smell
product has a strong smell that is difficult to get used to no difference from other petroleum jelly based products give the impression of an old product bought at discount with intent to resell no expiration dates

Must have product!
Elizabeth Arden eight hour cream is an amazing product. I’ve used this product for over 35 years. It helps prevent chapped lips, condition cuticles, and give your eyebrows a luster and keeps them in place. It can be used on your cheekbones for a highlighting glow. I love this product!! I wish they would bring it back in a jar. 💗

Overpriced Vaseline
My sister read an article where a celebrity mentioned this product as her ‘secret to looking ageless’. Being ‘of an age’ we jumped on it as soon as we could open up our Amazon apps. As luck would have it, mine was delivered first. Squealing, I texted her a quick picture and ran to wash my face so I could try it out. I excitedly opened the box - I couldn’t wait; I’m gonna be ageless! When I opened the tube, I sniffed the contents - a decidedly medicinal smell, but that’s ok! I’ll get used to that, I thought. I squeezed the tube and a thick, formed, pinkish glob? came out onto my palm. I don’t know what I expected, but this wasn’t it. So, I tentatively tapped the tip of my finger onto the top of the glob and it depressed somewhat, but didn’t budge - it didn’t coat my fingertip like I’d expect a moisturizer to do. So I tried again, but with a scooping motion. The entire glob came up in one piece on the end of my finger. My initial thoughts were that maybe once I put it on my face, it would become more liquid and spread easier. (It did not.) As soon I made the first pass at rubbing it in, I thought - um, this feels exactly like Vaseline! What the heck? Still hopeful though, I continued to apply the goop to my face. Once I finished, I stood looking at myself in the mirror. Yep. I looked exactly like someone who’d just applied Vaseline all over their face. Greasy, shiny - my glasses wouldn’t even stay put on my nose, they slid down every time I’d lean forward. The feeling of the product on my skin was decidedly unpleasant; thick, sticky, almost a suffocating sensation, like my skin couldn’t breathe. Feeling a little stumped, I thought this can’t be right, it feels exactly like Vaseline - not a semi-expensive moisturizer by an iconic company like EA? So I read the ingredients: “petrolatum 56.8%” I couldn’t believe it. I’d paid almost $30 bucks for a tube of pink smelly Vaseline. Granted, nowhere on the tube does it say it’s a moisturizer, the tube clearly states “Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant” So, lesson learned - I’ll make sure to read the reviews before I try the next miracle ageless cure. I doubt I’ll use it on my face, because I can’t get past the sticky, heavy and greasy feeling - but it’ll work for a nice cuticle cream, I guess.

Absolutes Nachkaufprodukt!
