Stonewall Kitchen Old Farmhouse Chutney, 8.5 Ounces

I bought Stonewall Kitchen's Old Farmhouse Chutney to go with a recipe I made for "British Pork Huntsman Pies". I had never tried this type of chutney before, so I didn't know what to expect. It was fantastic! My son didn't care for the vinegary taste (I think he wasn't expecting it), but I think it's wonderful. I liked this so much that a week later I bought a 2nd jar, and a couple weeks after that I bought Stonewall Kitchen's "Chutney Collection" (which is also fantastic). The Old Farmhouse Chutney should be excellent to spread on a number of things, but I particularly like to put on top of Spanakopita (feta/ricotta cheese and spinach baked in phyllo).

This chutney is just delicious. Even my British partner and British friends think so and that is high praise indeed. They KNOW chutney.

Was hoping the would be similar to Mrs H.S. Ball's chutney, but not even close. The taste was not good and ended up throwing it out, would not recommend.

I used to work in a sandwich shop where the owner made apple chutney from scratch. I don't currently have the time or the know-how to do that just yet, but this is an amazing store-bought option. It was delicious, it was perfect for what I needed, and tasted very very similar to the handmade version I knew.

I wanted to add a little something extra to spice up the meatloaf and mashed potatoes gig I was doing for dinner. So, I put a dish of this chutney on the table. It got 5-star reviews all around and even my fussy eaters wanted to know "what's that stuff in the glass dish, it is fabulous". Now. I am moving on to the other Stonewall Kitchens; I am betting they will be an equally delicious hit. well done, Stonewall Kitchens!
